I think maybe if you ever have a second Cath, you will be much more relaxed. The hardest part will be numbing the groin area, sorta like numbing your mouth before dental work. This IS my second heart cath. I had one many years ago for another reason. They went thru my hand. I had a sedative, too, and it wasnt bad. The outcome was all good. But i am very chicken – hearted with such stuff and feel uptight again. Cant help it.

For some reason i think you once had it a bit, and in next check you didnt. All was good.
I had several scopes about Barrett’s. It was a lot at first. It gradually decreased with medication. The next to last one it was very small, the last scope no signs of it. I continue to take the medicine, it is just omeprazole. I get it by prescription but you can buy it over the counter. He only wants the colonoscopy I think every 20 years now, it used to be more frequent. I’m going to ask why. I had a heart ct -scan yesterday, it showed calcifications and possible plaque in my coronary vessels. I had it done because of my bad cholesterol, etc. .
Now i need a heart -catheter -check soon. Oh no, kinda scary. Plus i have a headache. And my tinnitus is so loud, too. Good grief !!🤢

Gabi I’m sorry about the calcifications and plaque but it is great that you are being pro-active and getting good care. I assume you are on medicine for the cholesterol and I hope a cardiologist prescribes it, not a regular primary doctor. Statins are hard on your body. I was on one for a short time and it made me ache worse and I was told I could stop it. Then the electrophysiologist told me if necessary there are non-statins available now for cholesterol. My regular doc checked my carotids almost every year with ultrasonic, they always were ok. He said that i need no medication for my high cholesterol, because carotids are good. Should do a good, healthy diet. It is good you did the ct-scan, and the heart Cath is a good idea. When will you have the Cath? They probably gave you Valium before. Ask if you need a blood thinner. Have you had a significant decrease in energy? If not hopeful medicine will be enough.

The sun is trying to peek through a somewhat gray sky. Hope it does. I keep my curtains shut when the sun isn’t out, just to retain heat and keep my gas bill down. I can see that you do very good with the English words. I imagine the slang words would be the challenge. For example the word Yes. It could also be yeah, uh huh, or yep. We also call that use of language here “street slang”. I cringe how much the English is changing. Many nouns are now being used as verbs!

Years ago I was on a statin, I had muscle cramps so they tried me on another statin, Same thing so I told them no more. A couple hears ago my bad cholesterol was way too high so I agreed to try a very small doe of Rosuvastatin. I’m tolerating it well and cholesterol is lower. In researching, I learned Statins deplete CQ10 levels so I take extra and I take the more bioavailable type. Not cheap! I also don’t take the traditional Vit. D tablet. Yes. I take the more effective one that is pricier. It is Ubiquinol Active CoQ10 and I take 200 mg per day. The brand I take is Natural Factors. I’m lucky that the lower dose (5mg.) of the statin is lowering the cholesterol enough.
