my ex is having hernia surgery this month, they hope to do it with laparoscopy rather than cutting him, he had surgery a few months ago for an obstructed bowel and ended up going septic (they almost lost him) but he’s a tough old guy lol, so they had to cut him open and go inside and do whatever, then he ended up getting a hernia where the incision is about a month later so he has been wearing a hernia band which he said is very helpful
