This bird feeder cam is located in an open grassy meadow, near the woods in northeastern Minnesota near Superior National Forest. The platform bird feeder sits 7FT off the ground and is usually filled with sunflower seeds, cracked corn, millet, peanuts, suet blocks and more.
The Feeding platform is constructed from wood and a mesh metal screen. This allows for water drainage and helps keep the seeds fresh.
Cardinals, Blue Jays, Pileated Woodpecker, Downy Woodpeckers, Chickadee, Nuthatches, Finches, Robins, Sparrows, Juncos, Rabbits, Possum, Crows, Voles, Shrew, Field Mice, Red Squirrels, Gray Squirrels, Flying Squirrels and a dog on occasion (Murphy a red Goldendoodle) and a whole lot more.
Whats that metal sound I hear every once in a while? That is the sound of seeds falling and hitting the metal squirrel baffle underneath the platform.
About the cam: This is a fixed view cam in 4k resolution.
Is that bird bath heated? The bird bath is heated and will turn on when temps reach at or below freezing. If you see steam it’s not because the water is hot. Note: bird bath is not out currently.
