Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.
I gotta get something to eat! It’s an emergency. 😂
Right behind you.
😄
I saw this on FB………..Hormel owns Skippy…………….While reading my HOPE Quarterly magazine from Convoy of HOPE, I came across an article about Hormel & Skippy Peanut Butter. It stated that Hormel is providing peanut butter to children in El Salvador. As employees and alumni, we should all be very proud of what Hormel does for the less fortunate around the world.
Very nice write up😘
That is wonderful. Both protein and shelf stable, filling. Spam doesn’t just have to be cooked does it? I’m thinking a real emergency, what is safe.
No I used to eat cold spam sandwiches
So you can eat it straight out of the can. Makes a high protein meal for people in need especially with no access to cooking.
The grasshopper is still on the purple amethyst and isnt a bright yellow anymore.
No praying mantis this year either, just a grasshopper.
What a insect😘
😍
I love him. I would try to keep him as a pet😍
Rick doesnt like grasshoppers but he is letting him live for me

Is there a kitty on the other side of this plant? I see a cat’s eye and part of his face just to the left and top of the grasshopper.
