Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good still morning. I’m home for awhile, round one done. Jo got a better is time. Last Thursday she couldn’t see any fingers in front of her face, any letter and he could not see any of the retina. Today she could see 2 fingers, the biggest letter, and he could see part of the retina. The ultrasound showed the improvement. He gave her another prescription to help the cornea reduce swelling, told her to reduce the prednisone from every 2 hours to every 4. Yesterday was Chelsea’s birthday, 2 of her children were born in July, 9 months later 😇 I love teasing her about that; poor Christian turns bright red 😄 Levi, #3, had an orthodontia appt at 9a yesterday; he was rewarded with ice cream before heading back to school. I told him ice cream was pretty good compensation for teeth-work. Chels said he was grinning ear to ear.
