Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good morning Bella Buds. We are 71 outside, but instead of warming, it is going to cool as the day progresses. Probably rain. That’s ok, I don’t plan to go anywhere. I ordered a jacket and new wedding/funeral pants yesterday. 😁. I’m going to need that jacket! I’m concerned about niece Sherree. She had a cancer removed from her leg large enough to require 8 stitches. I don’t know any more yet, such as type of cancer or any other treatment. She takes care of everyone except herself. what jacket did you get?
See above about the jacket. Sherree is in her mid to late 50’s. Plenty life left for the cancer to return. I usually try to be positive and optimistic with people, but in Sherree’s case I feel I need to breath fear into her. She just doesn’t take very good care of herself. Right after the surgery the doc told her to stay off the leg. She went to the grocery to buy groceries to cook for her grandchildren’s supper. They are 14, 16, and 17. I got the one with the white Sherpa lining. I contacted the company and they said the pockets were large enough to hold wallet, keys, cell, gloves. They zipper so I won’t have to worry about loosing anything. The pockets were the selling point. And it should be soft and comfortable in the car, and relatively warm for its bulkiness.
