Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Good afternoon….went for a long walk with a friend who I don’t see very often…and then we talked more at her house, outside..so it was quite a long visit…texted my sister when she said she was heading to my house to tell her where i was and so she came and talked also. Then my sister and I went to a coffee shop, split a panini and I got iced caramel apple decaf. Relaxing now..if DH gets home early we might do something with Bane or both, depending on where we go.

Hi Lynn sounds like a delightful afternoon to me. Nothing much better to visit with an old friend. What fun. And good eats afterwards.
