Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. H-e-l-l-o . . . Was up all night Thursday night, til 2am Friday. Playing nurse most of the time. Talk about UGH!!!! Slept most of Friday, OH CRAP! Totally out of sync. Played with Dutchess. Oh dear Karen. Wouldn’t it be nice if you both could be well at the same time. So is your husband trying to teach Dutchess to do different commands, like confusing to her? I know him loosing the dogs was his fault, but I still feel sorry for him. He is dog-less.

Getting out just for you would be a very good thing, and going to the lake would be the best part. Good for the inner peace.
Debbie, he doesn’t realize that I have already taught her many many words and actions to understand and do many things. She is like a show dog– highly intelligent — not just bragging. For example, when I flush the toilet, she watches and make sure it flushes all the way and stops running. If either of those things go wrong, she barks and points it out. I understand completely Karen. I dog has to understand one command, one action, not two commands. Wow that little girl sure is smart! How did she know about the commode? Just smart! How old is Dutchess? Have you ever taken her to a class, or you just teach her?
So, I fell in love with her when she was born, she weighed 4 oz. I played with her and talked to her all the time. I just made things exciting, so that she wouldn’t be afraid of certain things. And I made those things fun. I made a big deal about flushing the toilet, she would watch it flush and chase the water around. And it went from there. 4 ounces. Wow, what a tiny thing! Was she born to one of the other dogs since you seemed to have known her at birth? She is smart because you are smart. You knew how to bring out and foster her intelligence, and make it fun. I’m glad you have her in your life. Will you take her to see the ducks and geese?
Thanks, Debbie. She’s the smart one. 😊 And yes, I had her Mom, Toodles, a pure mini Jack Russell Terrier, since she was 8 wks old. We also had Bo-Bo, her father, a mini Schnoodle (Schnauzer/ Poodle) since he was 9 months old. He was a rescue puppy. Oh yes, I am going to try and let her walk up to the pond and watch them. It will be an effort, because she will try and bark at first. We will see how it goes.
Do you live walking distance from the lake? How long have Toodles and Bo-Bo been gone and Dutchess’s litter mates? From what i remember, Dutchess looks most like the Schnauzer. Did you mate her parents on purpose?
Prospect lake is about 7 miles from me. And yes, Dutchess’ coloring looks more like Schnauzer, and her funky eyebrows, 😄 She was an accident. I made a diaper and everything for Toodles, but the little stinker managed anyway. Toodles died of old age a few years ago. Bo-Bo was lost with our other two dogs, litter mates of Dutchess, recently. 😢 They have new homes now. 🤗

Yep, but the time changes again when we go on daylight time.
Then I can start trying to remember again what time it is there. “So, if it’s 9:00 here then it’s going to be 8:00 there, or is it the other way around, if it is 9:00 here then it’s going to be 10:00 there?” I just always have trouble with that one state because they don’t fall forward or backward. I have to really sit and think about it every time. I don’t deall much with Hawaii.
Right now I think your time and Ardy’s time are the same. When you go on daylight time we can do that then.

Hip hip HURRAH! Sound the trumpets. I’m finally getting my Disney channels back! That includes the actual Disney channel, all the ESPNs, and ABC! I read early that YouTube TV and the Disney company had settled the dispute. So I checked my channels and I didn’t have them.
