Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good evening…we went to the grocery store to buy a couple frozen pizza on sale (and what I’m having tonight), some taco shells and taco kits for another night. DH is going to watch his show and guess I’ll read.

Michi has a vet appt tomorrow. She has a sore/blood on her gums, she will get her rabies shot too….geesh we have never had our pets in our entire married life cost us so much!!!

aww, sorry about Michi’s sore…we had many/multiple cats at a time years ago and two other dogs, and yes, very expensive but I think it’s even more with the two dogs we have now! The food we buy is expensive and then all the dog classes, and ours especially really do need them..and of course vet appts are, too.
Our past cats and Nikki’s rarely had problems until they got old/end of life…..these three are $$$ But Nikki is old now and has congestive heart failure

Everything is more expensive now! And there are more things available vets want to do. More vaccines. Our vet wanted to charge a hefty fee to take Macie’s blood pressure. We declined that one. With my human doctor that just comes with an office visit, it isn’t extra.
Glad we have medical insurance….costs us nothing

I guess it would depend on what the test if for, for us.
We pretty much know what they need and what they don’t need so that’s what we go by a lot of vets. Just want to do stuff that you really don’t need especially if you know what’s going on

For me to, I declined having Jade tested for Feline Lukemia, her sister was tested and didn’t have it and they were together in foster care and from the same litter so chances were she didn’t have it and its a expensive test to have done and she checked out healthy the vet didn’t think she needed any other tests-she will be due for rabies shot, I have to have that done in order to board her, she has to be up to date on her shots for protection of the other animals in their care
I never heard that, blood pressure on cats. Thats crazy.🙄. Good that he/she couldnt grab your money on this one.

Good morning Gabi. Yes that was the cadillac vet but it was last summer. We took Macie a couple weeks ago to that vet’s new office in our town, she still has the main location in the next town to us where we go. But it was for just a toenail trim and check anal glands. I wanted to go to the clinic where we plan to go. I thought it was a good way to check out the place with something very minor to see if we liked it. I fixed it. This last office visit, Macie didn’t see any vet, just a tech here locally in an office owned by the Cadillac vet. The veterinarian we plan to see is about 30 minutes away in Somerset, that is for when we need a real vet, not just a tech or buy food. The Cadillac vet is about 20 minutes away, in the opposite direction in a town called Columbia. Lots of typos. But now you know why I don’t post much in the mornings when I haven’t been up long! Oh sweetie, I understand it now with the vets. The new somerset vet for the “real stuff” and the cadillac offshoot with tech only for little things in your town. Now a stupid question : macie is a girl, right ? She has those anal glands, too ? I thought that only boys have them. But i never had looked that up before. Yes females do have anal glands. And you got it about the vets.
Your foot is getting accustomed to your inserts, it takes time. They are making the hump bigger to try to get your foot in the position nature wants it to be in. You would have felt too much pain if they didn’t do it gradually.

I get the info through Nancy who gets her info through Sherree. I just know Vienna’s parents are working with a lawyer, but he is restricting activities. I think he is in danger if caught. We haven’t heard anything about Cuba. He was scheduled to see a judge in Tennessee when they arrested him and had legal papers to prove he is here legally here. They just asked him what country he wanted to be deported to and when he refused to answer, just saying he wanted to go before the judge, they transferred him to Mississippi. I hope that viennas dad can somehow become legal soon, so that nothing will happen to him. This sucks with cuba. How can they make him go to mississippi , when he was ready to see a judge! I suppose that tennessee is his home state ? And he’s got his legal papers, which is so good.

They would not even let him call his wife to tell her where they were taking him. He asked someone there if he would do it and that person did. I think TN is his home state.
