Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Julie: Tuna steaks.
wow bright red. Sure look different from the canned stuff.
Tunasteaks they are about a inch thick, as a appetiser you can make AHI Tuna steaks, the fish is just seared, and served rare I have had this it is so darn good😋 It was one of my brother Micheals favorite things to eat😍
Are you cooking them that way tonight? Bet it is good.
I’m just searing them in butter in a frying pan salt and pepper with lemon on it just simple I don’t have all the ingredients to make the dish
Simple is often very very good.
The canned stuff is cooked, what your seeing is the raw fish
Bet it doesn’t taste like the canned stuff either.
They look delish 😋
And really good for you too😋
Lily fed the fledged chick behind the nest😘 didn’t go far
I’m cooking Tuna Steaks for dinner. Found them in the freezer they are thawing, they are not very big so I’m cooking two😃
I’m not sure I’ve eaten those.
Sent you a picture

They are very, very good😋 meaty kind of like a pork chop and not a strong tuna tasteI’ll take a picture so you know what they look like, the meat of the fish is red
That is one thing I know i wouldn’t like…. give me tuna in a can
I have to agree. I didn’t know it was raw. 😲
ready for takeoff
Fantastic Deborah and it happened😍thanks for the alert😘
Thanks Deb.
I just got up from a little nap. Now I will prepare a little meal for Dutchess and then start on fixing mine. Maybe meatballs, rice and green beans. Sounds bland, I know. But I got used to eating that way when I had diabetes. Hope all is well. 🤗 Oh my! I just looked at the nest and there’s only one hummer there! I haven’t read posts yet . . . .
Good afternoon Lady Bug🐞😍 going to the nest, meatballs and rice sounds good to me and with green beans Its perfect😋
Hi julie. I saw that one Hummer was there and I thought, wow, is that Lily and the babies both fledged just this afternoon?! But then I saw a a comment saying that one of the babies hadn’t fledged yet, so . . . But now I see they both have. Yay!!! Happy fledge day, little babies!! ❤️
Hi Karen. Just put some veggies, spice or herbs in the rice
Hi Debbie. Maybe, but I actually like the taste of it was just a little bit of margarine. I don’t use salt either, so I think I taste it more than most people. 😅
That is good! What kind of rice do you use?
I use plain old White rice, Walmart brand, Great Value. I just use instructions on the back, which I think is the standard way, and it tastes great. But then, I have a very bland palate. 🙂 Off to do a couple of things. I am having a lot of trouble posting. Be back in a while. ♥️
Get er done Karen.
💪
🎶. I am woman hear me roar …..
Oh yeah, babe! 😅
You go Karen!
I like just plain food sometimes…not sure about white rice with diabetes but I know diabetics who probably eat worse…the meat balls sound good, I’ve never made them.
I used to think white rice was terrible. 😂 But a small amount is okay if it’s served along with a vegetable and a protein to slow down the sugar absorption. I can eat quite a bit more brown rice than white! But sometimes, I just want that white rice fluffiness and flavor. The meatballs were just ground beef, mixed with some onion powder, garlic powder, and ketchup, rolled into balls and then fried in olive oil. And then the green beans made it all really simple. I like the green beans with no flavoring.
Sounds like a winner to me Karen. Very healthy. Your sugar is ok now anyway, isn’t it?
Yes, it is good. But I am still careful though. I don’t know why I didn’t see this post earlier, I think i’m just tired. I hope I don’t keep you awake, beeping. 😧 😘
I understand…I still think that 😂 but if I really really liked it maybe I’d have a bit…the only time I have it is if we get Chinese food and that isn’t very often. those meatballs sound delicious.
