Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Eatingsome eggs then going out to the garage, probably take Jade out too
I can’t decide what I want for lunch. I might have Cheerios with a fresh peach. Eggs sounds good too. I’ll check the peaches, they may be needing to be eaten.
I too have to refresh for new comments.
I saw your post Ardyth mine seems to stop when there hasn’t been any comments, like the page goes inactive?
i think it does
We are clouding up. Maybe some rain today.
I’ll be in and out for about 30 minutes. Casey mostly.
Ok I’m doing some things too. Hi sweet Casey😘💚🎶🔔🎵
I’ve been done an hour with Casey. My things have just been tiny. I got little things to do in my bedroom. Need to take a shower. I’m pretty unmotivated right now. I need to get the lead out.
Here you go
😂. That helped! I’m motivated now to go take a shower! 🌹
Good morning Bella Buds. I am not really late coming to chat, but wrote to Gabi first. I read posts here first but wanted to answer her first because of her schedule and the time difference. We have a nice day, but a lot of bad, rainy, stormy days coming. It is supposed to be very humid and rains are not expected to help you feel cooler. Hope everyone’s day has started good, and stays that way.
Good Morning Debbie, had to refresh again to see you🤓 coffee clinks😘
I don’t think to refresh, then I see posts 45 minutes later even though I’ve been here!
I stop and check in but some times refreshing takes so long😫 so then I just let it refresh and I go and do the dishes and come back😂
I stopped refreshing at Decorah because sometimes the cam view goes black!!!
Hummm. That seems strange.
Good morning Bellas bright and sunny out there 65. We got 2 inches of rain yesterday broke a record rot rain total set back in 1882, the date fasinates me that they were keeping track for this long😃Have a good day its this and that and maybe a wonder today?
Lots of rain!!! Enjoy your day
Hi Ardyth its so soggy outside and humid, the humidifier is running non stop pulling gallons of water out of the basement its dry down there so that’s a good thing don’t want black mold to grow
Does it take the water outside or do you have to dump it?
I have to dump it down the drain, it doesn’t have a hose on it I could run to the drain, I’m going to look in the garage I think I have something that could work?
It would be a lot easier if the hose could do it for you.
You have that right I have to pull out the thing that holds a gallon of water then try not spill it carrying it to the drain that’s like 3-4 times a day🙄
Sometimes I wish something of mine would break so I can justify getting a new one that works better.
The humidifier works just great it just doesn’t have a hose can always get a hose
Well that is good. Being in the house just a cheap one would do the trick for a long time.
I remember my parents used a hose and it went into the drain in the basement
Same here Ardyth
I remember the pan underneath , maybe that was before the hose?
Good morning Sunshine and happy day. Wow that was a lot of rain in one day and a long record breaker. Seems you do a lot of wonders every day.
It was a lot of rain😃 plants and garden are so happy😘 From the 1800’s is crazy
You certainly didn’t need to spend time watering.
I walked and the overnight low was 83°
Have a good day
Good Morning Ardyth😘 you have a good day to🌻
Good morning Ardy and a good day.
Hi Debbie
