About the nest:
The Decorah North Eagles nest is located on a private property just north of Decorah, Iowa. The net is situated in a white oak tree in a small forest near a valley and a stream. Courtship begins in October with mating starting in late January-February. Egg laying/hatching occurs from mid to late February to April.

Hello ! I found a note that DNF laid an egg between Fabruary 11-14, but leater there were these raids by the intruder and the egg was lost.. I’m sorry everyone..🤨

Hi Ardy ! I’ve never heard of it or seen it. There are no conditions for laying an egg.🙄 North returned on February 14th and is still struggling with the intruder.In this situation it is impossible.
I didnt think there was an egg but seems some people posting said there was an egg.

If there was an egg, I’m very surprised somebody didn’t get a capture to prove it.
So, what happened to the egg in the nest. I would guess it got broken when the intruder came into the nest and they had a spat with one another. She is in the nest at 6:30 pm and is not happy about the egg. What is with an intruder? Why do they do this to another pair of eagles. Are they fighting for the nest or more so fighting for a mate. Hmm
I dont think they had an egg yet.
