This nest is located about a 1/4 mile from the Potomac River near Shepherdstown, West Virginia USA. It is the current home for Bald Eagles named Scout(male) and Bella(female).

Nesting:
In like manner both eagles help with incubation of the eggs, providing food and raising the eaglets.
Egg laying/hatching/fledging typically happens at the NCTC eagle cam from February to June every year.
2024: 3 eggs laid. 1st egg laid 02/27/24 2nd egg 3/1/24 3rd egg laid 3/4/24. The 1st egg is most likely not viable due to an extended period of no incubation. After nesting was done for the season the parents began building a new nest. This new nest is 20 feet below the current nest and in the same tree. They have since decided the new nest is now their home.

Bella got to the nest first and was working on a stick and in comes scout with a branch and then they had a little disagreement🤣😂
Scout in with a fish 🐟 and I can hear him talking to Bella he wasn’t trying to share.. he takes off with it and bella lands in the nest 😂and scout is back with the fish and bella quickly claims it😂🤣

I saw Bella and Scout at the nest today, via YouTube — they protected their nest from an intruder. Sorry I don’t have a picture.
