Nesting:

In like manner both eagles help with incubation of the eggs, providing food and raising the eaglets.

Egg laying/hatching/fledging typically happens at the NCTC eagle cam from February to June every year.

2024: 3 eggs laid. 1st egg laid 02/27/24 2nd egg 3/1/24 3rd egg laid 3/4/24. The 1st egg is most likely not viable due to an extended period of no incubation. After nesting was done for the season the parents began building a new nest. This new nest is 20 feet below the current nest and in the same tree. They have since decided the new nest is now their home.

It’s a shame that nobody writes Here anymore.

Hi Summit1962! Yes, it is a shame. I believe it is because of a streak of bad luck. Smitty passing, and then Scout coming in and having to learn the ropes, losing eggs his first year, and then the nest falling last year and them losing their three little eaglets. Been a rough couple of years. Hopefully this year will be a brand new start! Beautiful Bella pictured here incubating their two eggs, which should pip on 3/25 and 3/28. ❤️

Good afternoon. I have seen the two eggs one time. Bella rolls them quite frequently, but she is not letting them be exposed. I guess because it’s threatening snow and it’s cold.

Yay!!!! Egg number 3!! Congratulations Bella and Scout! I can’t see it, but I don’t have very good vision. 😅 I think Bella is hiding it. 🌹 See the following video. ❤️
