Sid missed the branch with both talons. Hutch was flapping his wings, so Hutch and Maz didn’t see what just happened.

Three eaglets and the only food that was brought today was 1 small fish by Stella at 18:46. 😞 Hutch mantled it, but the fish was being pursued by Maz on Hutch’s right side, and Sid on his left. That made it very difficult for Hutch to eat because he had to constantly protect his fish. In the photo, it shows that the fish’s head was still intact, so it looked like Hutch couldn’t even get it started. A half a minute later, Maz pushed against Hutch and stole the fish. He landed on the slanted part, so then he slid back down. It was a good first try.
