Got to 93 today; now that the wind has come up, it’s cooling down fairly quickly; only supposed to get to 55 tomo/nice change from these last few days of 90+.

Howdy-do Lovely Owl People 🦉🦉 Went into La Junta to get the car title changed over from the bank to me; i’ll get it in a couple weeks. Then treated myself to a lovely b-fast at Village Inn. The one we have out here is very, very good; I always have a good experience there. The management/staff are the best. I had their Eggs Benedict Florentine; instead of Canadian bacon, poached eggs comes with spinach, tomatoes, Swiss cheese on a toasted English muffin; it was excellent. And i just couldn’t help myself, they had fresh strawberry crepes as a meal,… Read more »

We had a nice warm hot day again.. 88 today.. next week showing rain Fiordland 2 days, but a lot can happen between now and then, but it would be so nice to have even a little even a little rain, all is so dry out.. Donna forgot to come and do my hair today, she has never done that before, I had already washed my hair, since it is so thin I can’t do much with it, , but I used the curling iron and tried…lol she is coming tomorrow at 12:30 as I have wound care at 2,,,… Read more »

Good afternoon….I walked Bane this morning with the other dog walker…did some pruning on the hydrangea, and them my mom stopped by…I had found a button that might work on her shirt where there is one missing. It’s been pretty warm today, I even got hot while working…but just now the wind picked up a little and might be slightly cooler…chance of rain or a storm later.

When I was growing up, we had a button jar (old mayonnaise jar). Any buttons off old clothes or extras from packages bought for replacing buttons were kept them. I don’t know how often any got used but it always fascinated me. I started a button jar after I was on my own, but finally realized I rarely used them, so gave yup the practice. Sort of like when my mom used to “darn” holes in socks. Few folks do that anymore.

Good morning. 💛 Oh what a beautiful morning. Sunny with a warm high of 76° by afternoon. Ordered postage stamps last night. Forever stamps costing 78 cents each. Bought 40 stamps…..you know the price will be going up soon. I don’t mail many letters, so these should last me a while. Most bills are electronically paid. I now pay Visa over the phone to be taken out of checking account. We never keep a balance on Visa….pay balance off each month. (we are thankful we can do this. Many are using credit cards to buy food.)😥 Walmart order will arrive… Read more »

I like ordering postage stamps online from the post office. For my business, it allows me to mail large envelopes from home, so I don’t have to drive to the post office every day during tax season. So I keep a collection of 1 cents through 5 cents, 10 cents, postcard, and extra ounce stamps. Then I weigh the envelope and if it is over a certain amount I can print a label online. If it is under that amount, I can figure out how much the postage is and put together the right stamps to make that up.

Yeah, first started doing this during COVID and we now live further from a post office, so it still makes sense. When DD was younger and I had to drive her to school, I could easily go to the post office every day if needed.

Worked on more tax returns, sent out emails, received emails, talked to clients on phone and in person. Refilled squirrel feeder, did a load of sheets, but haven’t folded them yet. TV guide (on the TV) said the Chicago shows were new, but they were reruns. I hate when that happens. Rain on and off today. Temps 36 to 53.

Good Night all! Love & Hugs & Prayers.
