Met my friends for coffee and book discussion this morning. It is one of their birthday tomorrow, so we gave her cards and some flowers. She was surprised. After I ran errands – bird/squirrel food, drop off at Good Will, quick stop at grocery store. Home for lunch. Then finished up yesterday’s load of laundry and fold, watered DSIL’s outdoor potted plants, and updated checkbook and paid some bills. Ordered a few things online, finished up one tax return, printed out some information for a meeting tomorrow. Orthopedic doctor’s office called me to set up an appointment and I have… Read more »

Today I had my appt with the eye surgeon, I drove to Vista, but DH had to drive us home, Dr explained exactly what he will be doing, will take about 2 hours. I will be given a sedative to relax me, showed me how they will cut and put new lenses in,, I will not have to put drops in my eyes after the surgery,,, will have blinders on with holes so I can navigate and when I see him the next morning. He will take them off.. and I should be able to see clearly and as the… Read more »

Oh dear! I know about those obstructions and resulting surgery. Sure hope they got the message about the best anesthetics and drugs for her condition. Sorry Donna has COVID. Lots of stuff still going around. .

It’s been a lovely day, 60 degrees and softly raining off and on, making trees/farmers very happy. There’s been no wind/breeze so it’s just enjoyable. Because there’s no sun today (front porch faces west), one of the cats spent most of the day on the front cushion and finally moved over far enough to allow one of his pals a spot. 😻

Hello…hardly any sleep last night…bat..that’s all I’ll say. DH left his dad and has been home all day, not sure what will happen tonight…my sister came over and we walked before she left…it was nice and starting to get hotter and more humid. We have the a/c on ow but I’m on my screen porch. I read my Scotland magazine, on and off and took short naps or at least rested.

Good afternoon. After hearing so much about “wrap” sandwiches….I have tried using lettuce instead of whole wheat bread.
I like it…..not to have all the time, but a change. Especially in summer. Thanks to some of you that have been having “wraps” and talking about them. First was a fish fillet wrap. very good!!!! For lunch today egg salad on a romaine lettuce leaf. Looks like a “boat” sandwich to me. I think I will call them “boats”
😆

Hi Tea…as for me…I’ve only had a couple lettuce wraps and not for maybe a couple years now…I get wraps often but it’s some sort of bread wrap (there are different kinds)…I like how you call those boats.

I think the Jimmie John’s sandwich chain serves lettuce wraps. They are good!
