Today I finished up another tax return and mailed out the one to my brother. Sent out a number of emails to clients. Worked on some tax planning for a client. I feel like my back is doing better for no apparent reason I can think of. I mean, I am not very good at doing my exercises and Wednesday was the last time I was at PT or massage. Or am I just imagining it? Went grocery shopping, got the latest COVID shot, and picked up a pizza for dinner (part of anniversary promise). We ate early so DH… Read more »

Great news that your back is feeling much better.
I know you enjoyed the pizza.🍕
Don’t think we will get anymore COVID shots.

Auntie Mame is on TCM at 3.15pMDT today; one of my very favorite movies — i’ve also read the book at least 5 times 🙄

Another hot summer day. Was just reading about our corn, grown in Olathe, CO. One of the farmers only planted 200 acres, a far cry from the usual 1600; the weather was so dry 😔 Several of the farmers are planning to use refrigerated trucks along the main corridor, I-25, between Wyoming and Albuquerque to sell their crop 🌽 there’s not really enough to sell to the grocers; Kroger reps are not happy, but you can’t sell a crop you don’t have.
Tea, your microbursts made our local newspaper — hope that’s the end of those nasty things.🙏

😄 if you say so……………
It is a shame about the farmers and the dry weather. 🌽
Philly had 4 microbursts….so much damage and flooding where they hit.
Have a nice evening Pam. ♥

Deb, it looks like a hostile takeover by the pigeons; guess we’ll find out in autumn whether the owls think the box is worth fighting for. 🤔

Hope they come back. It is true that nests can change hands, both seasonally and for years at a time.

Good morning…sitting on my porch…ate some cottage cheese and had a couple creme brulee iced coffees…doing laundry today and hanging it outside..my mom is hanging hers also, her dryer isn’t working well. DH didn’t get any sleep last night…he works from home today and I’m thinking at some point he’ll take a nap. Going to go cut up a cucumber from the farmer’s market..

Good morning 🌸 Happy Monday Sunny with a high temperature 87°. Tomorrow starts our 5th heatwave of the summer. Should reach 100° by Wednesday. The cyclosporiasis outbreak linked to fresh produce is of concern. I have been reading about it….some say frozen fruits and vegetables are safe, while others say it is not safe??? All say canned fruits/vegetables are safe. Our government can’t find the source due to cutbacks and fewer people investigating. What to do? I am buying iceberg lettuce…taking several layers off before rinsing with running water. No Romaine lettuce for sure. They say even touching any produce… Read more »

I’m not too concerned about it; there haven’t been any cases in my state that I am aware of and it’ s not fatal…I read yesterday about your son coming to see you, what a great surprise! God is good

No cases in our state or even the entire Pacific Northwest. Plus only 843 cases reported in entire US. Probably lots more not reported but even then – in a country of 342.6 million. Not worried at all.
