This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.
Oh my gosh she just laid 2 more eggs above… both were fighting and the mother flew out… never seen a bird lay so many eggs.’

Had a 2 hour tax seminar on Farms and Ranches. I only have 2 very tiny “farms” as clients, but it is CPE hours. Then went to church for a meeting with pastor and pregnancy resource center, talking about how our church can help them. Back home to work on finishing some excise taxes, doing an amended return for payroll taxes, and paying bills. Had home group zoom meeting. Finished up the pizza. 🍕Temps today 67 to 89.

Good early evening, I am tired of 2 weeks of 95-99 degrees… I water and it dries right up,,glad I had the roses pulled out as they fry in the heat.. think I will plant cactuses every where.. lol they say we are in high desert…my leg is not wrapped any more, so taking water pills every day and stay in with AC I seem to be doing okay so far,, still changing bandages on 2spots on my right ankle…I can finally get back in my skinny jeans… Donna came to do my hair today, she was able to wash… Read more »
Part 2 , We had a great time visiting with our friends from AZ, ,, We decided to ask them to stay here for the night, they accepted , we played some board games…I fixed breakfast on Monday morning and they left around 9 am.. Today I washed all the bedding and bathroom towels and put clean ones back on.. we payed several board games during their stay here …

Wouldn’t let me edit, As I was saying DS bought a new 6 burner gas stove when the gutted their kitchen and remodeled it…mine ie electric and so easy to clean…. Tea, so sorry to hear of your DD broken toe, our DIL broke a bone the extended from her little toe up the top of her foot.. Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your guests and nice they stayed an extra day at your house.
Having guests is great…..but I find it is always nice to get back to normal routine and relax a bit.

Okay, i’m officially not mad at Chuck over not cleaning the stove any more; he went to the local farm stand, brought home & cut up a Dove melon. It is absolutely delicious 😋 A Dove is a hybrid of cantaloupe and honeydew. The shelf-life is very short, so they come and go very quickly during the season.

Another hot day for us — at least our humidity/dew point is manageable — i feel so bad for those who have both heat AND humidity 🙏 Took me an hour to clean the stove this morning. i swear, if Chuck fries anything today, he’s cleaning it himself. i can’t even USE IT. I’m seriously thinking of replacing this gas range with a nice electric cooktop; at least i won’t have to clean it before i can use it. Good morning Good afternoon Good evening….😄 coast to coast we are. Today will be the start of our 5th heatwave. Sunny with a high of 96°. This summer has been a hot one. DD has had a bit of bad luck last few days. 😥Last Friday refrigerator stopped working….it was an old one that needed to be replaced. She managed to get most stored in cooler until new refrigerator was delivered that same day. Whew!!!!
