Hi Folks! My schedule is ling 0f messed up and So I forgot to check in. Hope you weren’t too worried. Have donated and cleaned up a few things. The going is slow – not as many large collections of items already planned as last time. But tomorrow we wrap up and pack a lot of fossils to donate to the local rock and mineral museum. My brother was interested in dinosaurs and fossils from an early age. Have had afternoon rain/thundershowers ⛈ every day – this is typical August weather here. Flight and drive here was uneventful except for… Read more »

Deb, you might be able to find a just rhubarb pie at a farm stand; wouldn’t hurt to ask. 😉 We have several in Pueblo — my favorite being Mauro; in addition to their farms, they have an indoor market that sells homemade pies; potica, jams; breads, sandwiches. They have pies in 2 sizes, i got myself a small plain rhubarb just for me; and a cherry one for the rest of the house. They all come with little cards on how to cook/bake them; kinda makin’ my mouth water 😋

Got ahold of HVAC repair people, several of them. 3 of whom called back, but only 2 could do something. I went with the neighbor’s recommendation. Less expensive but the fix is taking forever. He got here at 10, finally found the problem around noon; Left to have lunch; had to pick up the part in Pueblo, a 2-hr R/T. 97F outside, about 82 in the house. He got back a little after 3p. 🙄 4.30p; think we’re good; A/C ran for about 30 mins while he was here. He wasn’t even at the end of the street when it… Read more »

Around 5.30p my A/C died. Well, the fan runs, just doesn’t blow cool air 😧 I’ve left a message with 2 companies, waiting on a return call from another one. It’s only 74, so we aren’t melting, but it’s gotta get repaired and SOON; Tomo will not be pretty.
