Live Barn Owl Nest Box Cam – Dorset, UK
This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.
Chuck found water on the floor by the inside A/C unit around 5.30p yesterday; He put towels down to absorb it. Called the A/C guy at 6p, told him about the water & said to shut it off. Waited til the sun went down; the house faces west; and it really gets hot in here. By 8.30p outside temps dropped to 88 from 100; then we shut it off. Good morning. 💛 Day 3 of our heat wave here in PA. (3 more to go) 😣 Partly cloudy with scattered showers. Thunderstorms in forecast for late afternoon. High temperature 93° ….feels like 100+. Last night thunderstorms arrived at dinner time. ⚡ Lightning very close and loud thunder. Glad for a simple meal and we used plastic utensils. International Cat Day! DB’s cat is huge (compared to Arya) and loves it when I come over, because I am more likely to pet him than DB is.

Good morning, so far I haven’t slept and it is 6am, I have been sleeping all night lately.. it has been pretty warm yesterday 97 today to be the same we got our gas& Electric bill yesterday. Uggh $$$…so many fires, now a fire at the Grapevine ( I-5) t traffic backed up for miles and miles as the fire crossed I-5, once you are on it no place to turn around…you are stuck..it has been humid also.. Another Day in NC and with DB. Didn’t do as much as I had hoped (the story of these visits). We packed up 4 boxes of fossils and mineral specimens to give to the local Gem & Mineral Museum tomorrow, where DB used to volunteer. He has much more but he doesn’t want to overwhelm them at any tone time. My thought is just pack it all up and let them worry about it. Unfortunately, he only wants to deliver these on Sat when the guy he really trusts is there, so no more of that for this trip out… Read more »

Can you pack up more boxes of fossils and mineral specimens for DB to deliver later? Perhaps call the person DB trusts from museum pick them up? At least if they are packed up in boxes…they will be ready to go. Sorry this is not working out so well.

Update on Rick: Rick’s incredibly picky about food and is not eating as much as he should be. Chuck said we’ll have to fatten him up, since his jeans are falling off. 😟 He’s able to grasp a glass of water with his right hand; still struggling a bit with walking; it’s only been 3 weeks. We have a walker here for him. Chuck will attend a class/PT session on Tues, then spend the night in a little apartment set aside for such. Rick will be so happy to be home on Wednesday. Seems like a great plan with Chuck spending the night with him in the little apartment the hospital has set up. This way Chuck will have a good idea of his needs when he goes home.
I hope after three weeks of not smoking….he will stop. If not, perhaps doctors can prescribe a patch to help wean him off the cigs. Thanks heavens Rick is blessed with a wonderful brother ♥ and sister ♥ to help him through this difficult time. 💕
