Good morning 💛 Plentiful sunshine. Warmer. High 69F. Winds 10 to 15 mph from coastal storm.
Making tuna salad for our lunch..light mayo and instead of chopped celery….I will use a few tablespoons of sweet relish. Still difficult for me to chop vegetables, open water bottles and medicine caps with numb thumb. 🙄
Our owl box is empty…..not even a pigeon. Hope SPO can find a new owl cam for us.
Have a nice Thursday. Take care ♥ ttfn

I am not fond of sweet relish, but obvioulsy easier for you. I plan to cut up some of the extra tomatoes today and freeze for future use in sauces.

Sweet relish has half as much salt..…that is why I use it.
It is really good in tuna salad.😋

Good morning…thought I’d do an early post…my sister is leaving today, early afternoon…I’ll see her for a bit before then. Last night we watched and enjoyed the Dolly special…had a Digiorno pizza for dinner. I’m waiting to hear back from a friend to see if she wants to walk this morning…but she gets so busy so maybe she won’t text back…if not maybe tomorrow. After my sister leaves I’ll get a few things done around here…DH will be out of town all day. It will get up to the low 70s (40s now) so nice…I’ll definitely spend time outside. Have… Read more »

Today I got the paper tax return all ready to mail, and also some other items I wanted to send out, and went to the Post office and ran several other errands – pharmacy, Costco, and pet food store. Then home for lunch. Then started sorting through receipt from our trip and updated checkbook, so I can write checks tomorrow. Did a load of laundry and folded it. Watched the Chicago shows with DH. Temps today – 39 to 65.

I’ll tell more about our Sunday adventures tomorrow.

Good Night all! Love & Hugs & Prayers!!

I would call them woods also, except they are officially in the “Olympic National Forest” – Originally created as the Olympic Forest Reserve in 1897. That is on the south side of the Lake and is overseen by the Dept of Agriculture. The north side of the lake is the “Olympic National Park” overseen by the Dept of the Interior. President Theodore Roosevelt originally designated the park as Mount Olympus National Monument on March 2, 1909. The monument was re-designated a national park by Congress and President Franklin D. Roosevelt on June 29, 1938. On the western side is Quinault Indian… Read more »

So this was the hike we took in the morning before the wedding. It was on the Gaston Creek Trail. You can’t tell the elevation or incline from the photos, but this is the one that tired us out. Looks deceptively easy. Look up “Temperate Rain Forest” if you want to know more about the area. Notice all the moss, lichen, and mushrooms, and old tree stumps and rotting logs used to grow new trees.

Beautiful area for a hike.
I don’t think you both knew what you were in for….but onward and forward. 😉
You look great…..not tired or exhausted. DH took a chance going under that downed tree.
Love the picture of you and DH…..💕 Forever memories.
Thanks for sharing.

That leaning tree is very well supported. They clear the trails so that people can walk under or around obstacles, but don’t cut them down unless they have to. We actually went under many ones like that, but this is the only one I had a photo with a person in it, so you could see scale.

No Alexa at our house. DH will not allow any electronic devices listening in to us – he is a computer engineer and has disabled all those things on our new TV.

On our Alexa we get the Ring so we know who,is at the door can see them. It also trains our living room lamp on and out.. but that is it..don’t do anything else with it..Oh it did tell us when the rain started.. lol
