Good morning…going to be very windy today and melting snow and rain will freeze up later. Hope it’s not too bad for DH and the caregivers. Last night a group from my mom’s church went caroling to ten places, including a couple nursing homes…last they went to FIL’s house (my mom was with them)…guess he enjoyed it but not sure how well he heard them and he has an ear infection. I’ll be cleaning today mostly, I guess…I enjoy the Tim Janis music videos…piano music to nature scenes..the one I just watched had a barred owl in it..the scenes are… Read more »

How nice your mom’s church group sang carols for your FIL.
When I use to clean house, I would play fast songs….cleaning went faster.😉

I always loved singing Christmas carols from my home town church’’ our youth group went to older peoples houses and we sang carols’’ ther were about 15 of us. When my tow were in grade and middle school I would take them and neighbor kids to go caroling in our complex’’. We did it for about 5 years’ some of parents went also’. Very rewarding’.

Good idea! DD used to do that (play fast songs) when running/jogging, and taking a shower.

It seems folks rarely go caroling anymore. Glad your mom’s church does that.

I used to go with DS to a couple nursing homes..sometimes a couple from church went too…I played piano, DS clarinet, and we’d carol down the halls when the other two people were there. The HS choir goes caroling and there was a group that did that around town, also..anyone could join in, they walked all over.

Good morning friends ♥ A bit of a warm up here in PA…..our high will be 50 today with sunshine most of the day.
DH had in home blood draw this morning. So much better than driving to the lab.
I am still struggling with getting rid of this water weight. A little improvement taking 2 water pills. No fun going in and out of BR all day.

This morning, we took a shirt of DB’s to a cleaners which would do some repairs for him, went to a watch repair shop where we had gotten a battery this past summer to get the day of the week fixed, went to the post office to get some international stamps and mail some Christmas cards, and got a new air purifier and a few other things at Walmart. The interface on the other purifier wasn’t working consistently – mostly because it was a touch screen and DB doesn’t do well with those. So we got one with a mechanical… Read more »

Photo of what still remains in the storage unit, and one of some of the pipes and pipe holders we still have to pack tomorrow. Closet shelves and the floor were filled with pipes in holders or in boxes.

Another busy day with helping your DB. You are making good progress.
Your DB looks like he is well organized. The storage unit looks very neat and the pipe collection also neat on closet shelves. (or did you do this on your visit)
Have a good day. Do something fun after chores…..maybe a movie with a big container of popcorn to share. 💕

DB does have everything organized. Lots of piles of things with dust on top of everything, but at least fairly orderly. Here are some photos of his place.

Howdy-do Lovely Owl People 🎄 ⛄🎄 ⛄ Sunny and warm here today, along with some serious wind, just not as serious as in Denver! The electric power company in Denver, not here, has shut power off to around 52,000 homes due to high winds, 65-85 mph, and potential wildfires. I know people will freak out; we’ve learned this the hard way. The power co is trying to keep homes from catching fire from any downed power lines — and it’s also going to be around 70 degrees so no one will freeze. Had a lovely lunch with DS/Kitty yesterday. I could… Read more »

Glad you had a nice lunch with Chuck and sister Kitty.
It was good Kitty could talk so much after being so sick.
I hope the winds have calmed down today.

So today we took more papers to recycling, as well as a bunch of tools and toolboxes to Habitat for Humanity Thrift shop. Then we took books to the library book sale, and ordered a frame for a poster that DB had (framing my Christmas present to him), I also ordered supplies for his scoop free litter box, and got his air purifier working (it was just fussy about the outlet it used). I took 2 bags of papers to be shredded, and dropped of some file boxes at Goodwill.  I either have a cold, or the dust is getting… Read more »
