This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.
Today was not a good day, DH did not have the surgery, his eye has not healeenough’’ So now have appts into April. They just gave us dates but not where or what for… sighh.. When we left, La Jolla at 2pm. The fog was already rolling in and getting dense’’ Fortunately we were heading East and soon got out of it… Planes may get canceled’’. Very disappointing traveling to LaJolla only to find out DH surgery was postponed. I wish they would have given you better answers. My DH could go to VA hospitals….but does not go there because of how long it takes to get appointments etc.
How scary for you to be driving in dense fog yesterday. Glad you drove out of the fog and arrived home safe.
It will be nice for you and Steve to spend Christmas with your DS and family.

Good afternoon…well I have a story, will try to make it a bit shorter but we’ll see…this morning after I’d sat down with my coffee I saw a post on the lost pets site..recognized the dog and name…it was the person I walk with, her dog! My friend was out of town and her dog was at her sister’s house for a couple days..she let the dog out at 1a.m. and she took off! Good morning friends ♥ What a miserable rainy morning. Heavy rain and strong winds. Morning temperature was 61. Going down to below freezing early evening. Crazy weather. Visiting nurse will come this morning. Our regular nurse Chrissy called out sick, so Sabrina will come. I had Chrissy’s Christmas card with money ready for her today. So this morning we took Spanish and Roman Helmets and a bust of Napoleon to the HS for their language dept. We also packed up the rest of the pipes and pipe holders and dropped off some more Christmas cards at the port office. I have more to do when I get home, but those are mostly local in that area. I don’t blame your DH for being upset about the generator. After having the generator maintained and then it does not work when needed. 😡I hope the power comes back on soon. Did he call the generator people to complain?

wow, you got a lot done…I remember using oil lamps after the tornado..they were pretty antique ones that are in the basement now but used to display them…they were helpful…we were without power four days and it got cold..and had to throw the food out. Have a safe trip home, Chris.
Howdy-do Lovely Owl People 🎄 Freezable products from Tuesday’s shopping spree have been wrapped & stored in the freezer; laundry done. Finally got Christmas cards done/dropped at the post office — nothing like waiting til the last minute; some won’t even get to their final destination before next Thurs 🙄 My dear friend from elementary school, Diana, moved in January. It happens!! I wrote “Happy Birthday” inside one card instead of “Happy New Year” and had to trash that card. LOL😁 My thought is that people like getting happy greetings whenever they come, so who cares if they get it before Christmas or not. At least I don’t. 😘

yes I’ve gotten some late and then I find one that doesn’t say Merry Christmas, maybe just happy holidays or something and then I’ve written Happy New Year in them.
Good evening…cleaned today, will do more tomorrow. I get stressed when plans change..DS is now staying longer and we and my family planned things because he was leaving so soon..not sure what they will want to do now…it’s just hard for me, being around people so much and people in and out with pets…and plans up in the air..also plans change because of FIL…hope I have some down time to just relax, especially before my big petsitting job.
I know about not liking plans to change, but I have gotten more flexible as I have gotten older, due to DH’s influence. Can you focus on being happy that DS is going to be around longer since you often miss him so much?
I’ve had to also but this time it’s more overwhelming..because it’s Christmas..and because of FIL ..also it’s not just him, it’s his friend so maybe they’ll go out with friends and then I’ll have time to get things done and relax or whatever…it’s not easy with our dogs either…and I have a big job coming up…hope I get some time before then to relax but not looking like it. ..also…he gets sick often it seems and that worries me..he’ll be here, visiting FIL, etc..just a lot to think about and I get overwhelmed..I’m pretty introverted and need lots of time… Read more »
I have things already that stress me..the house problems, FIL, and more..then there will be more on top of it..Christmas, people, weird schedule, DS , I get overwhelmed and stressed.
I am so sorry you are overwhelmed with change of plans during Christmas. Not much you can do about the situation. It is so hard, but try to think of a plan B. Seems like Christmas time so many are stressed dealing with so many things. Try to take time for you and say no, if you don’t want to do some things. (((hugs)))
Yes you have to say no. Buy I have that problem sometimes as I don want to hurt peoples feelings.
That happens to my DIL . She goes to their bedroom and relax for an hour or two. She is getting better as time goes on’
yes I’ll take some time to relax and just a peaceful quiet time, I need to do that.
