This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.
Sent an email to another tree company as they prefer that type of contact. No response yet. Heard from NC lawyer and got my final instructions (I think) in order to close out the estate acct. Going to the bank tomorrow. Helped a client with some QuickBooks questions and issues. Filed a reimbursement with the church for some expenses related to the missionary Christmas cards sent out. Sent out emails to clients regarding 1/15/2026 estimated tax payments due. thanks, Chris…Gwen, sorry to say I don’t really want him around for long…he was right above where I feed my squirrels and birds..and the neighbors’ cats are out a lot…I do want the barred owls here, though..we usually have one or two around every year and enjoy their calls and calling back to them.
Good evening…a rain on and off, dreary day…pouring now..the high was 59, same tomorrow but no rain, so i’ll maybe go for a couple walks…did just a little of this and that but mostly was lazy..reading and resting on and off. Going to watch the women’s skating tonight. since it’s raining hard, you know what that means, on the mantel…put down a towel or two and clean up the mess here and there the next day, the usual..
the skating is tomorrow night instead…going to read my book..

The soffit on the front porch roof is drooping in one area. Called our mower/handyman and he will take a look at it this afternoon. I hope it will be a quick fix.
Seems like yesterday was a outdoor grilling day for a few of us.
Walmart has a yummy tasting fruit and nut granola. (my lunch today…no salt)
Tuna melt on sourdough bread will be our dinner tonight.

Watched Syd and Mel tonight Mel visits around 11:39pm’’ we are to get winds at 10+ mph and Thursday to be 8 degrees colder’’’ looks like th rain ended for us’, I love rain…DS gave us a hot air balloon solar that lights up at night . So for now it is on front deck, since we see out there every day. Inside is like the gas lighting up ‘’’ love it!

Had our friend Bible and Coffee get-together – first time since 12/10! One couldn’t make it – still regaining strength after the flu. Then to the post office to mail out those refrigerator magnets. Home to meet up with a tree removal company to get an estimate on removing 5 alder trees along our driveway. Their estimate was more than half less than the prior one! Going to get one more. Still getting bookmarks on computer straightened out. Worked on updating the standard client letters in my tax programs since they don’t carry over from year to year. More to… Read more »
