Live Barn Owl Nest Box Cam – Dorset, UK
This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.
Contacted the generator folks again and they came out today – twice. They got it going, but they want to come back again and test it when it is cold (not having been started recently). No charge so far, and I hope not at all. DH was able to talk to them and explain how it went down the night the power went out and how he tried to start it manually and that didn’t work either. Lin, you just posted it here at the Dorset Owl cam in response to my post. Also, at the very bottom of the screens here at SPO, there is a “Contact Us” link. That is the best way to notify HNF of something. I will tell HNF that way, but you can do it at any time yourself.

nice that your friend made that curtain for you…I try to not turn lights on if I get up at night because I have sleeping problems..it’s hard to walk in the dark like that though, have to put my arms out and feel for the walls, doors, etc

Kinda kind of been a rough day for me, I went to the wound care for my ankle and I now have four sores three on one side and one on the other side the nurse I had today suggested that we get a referral to a specialist because it is not improving so he has to talk it over with the other people in the wound care. I got so much going on now with Steve with one eye and he has two eye appointments this month. He has an MRI for his back the end of the month… Read more »

I know exactly what you are going through and it is overwhelming. One day at a time is best….thinking too far ahead makes things worst. Sheet day, UGH; did the online crossword, showered; re-opened the laptop and NO INTERNET 😠 Called tech support, they’re working on it; the window given was ’til 5p. I know why companies do that; it’s so customers are extra-happy when they ‘beat’ the estimate. 🙄 Guess i spent too many years in IT to not recognize the tactic. Not that i care, just glad it came back around 1-2p. 💻

Good morning friends ♥ Still in the freezing zone here. Today will be mostly cloudy with snow showers❄ during the morning. High 36°. Should warm up by the end of the week. Perhaps DH will be able use his grill to make burgers we were suppose to have for New Years. 🍔 Walmart order should arrive later in the morning. The heating pad I ordered from Amazon was returned yesterday to Kohls. It just stopped working.🙄I ordered another from Walmart. A Sunbeam brand. The last Sunbeam lasted for years. Hope this heating pad lasts longer!! If I need to grill, I use ours in rain (use umbrella if needed), shine, or snow. Always used to cook fish on the grill – keeps the smell outside. Now the grill is under a bit of roof – never had that before.
Church this morning – almost none of my closest friends were there – all home sick. Then worked more on sorting the bookmarks for my computer, did some more bookkeeping, and cleaned and recharged the battery for the cat fountain. Did a bit of this and that as well. DH reattached the hose on my side of the sleep number bed – for some reason, my side is easier to get knocked out – well, it is because I like a softer bed, so the pressure is lower – more space for the hose to wiggle.
