We had 70/50 cloudy but we did have a little sun. The sky was dark at different places, but there was no rain today tonight. It is likely raining and supposed to have it tomorrow. Tomorrow is to be 5° colder.. so today DH went with me to the wound care stayed in the car and I was only out for like 15 minutes. They took another culture on my sore on the left side of my ankle. It all seems the same to me, but not as bad as it had been one of the wrong care I want… Read more »

I am sorry you are still dealing with the healing of your ankle. Keeping you in my prayers.🙏
We have a “flip phone” too….we call it a “dumb phone”.😄 We have it for emergency only….like when out in car or if the landline phone goes out. Take care ♥

Hope you got a good night’s sleep. Hope they can get some progress on that wound. cell phones can be frustrating. Glad you have a local store where yo9u can go to get assistance. That is why I switched DB to a different phone carrier. The AT&T store was 20 miles away, while Verizon is only 3 miles. It is too difficult for me to help him from 3000 miles away.

Slept in today. Worked on getting birthday and important dates on all of my calendars. Did a load of laundry. Went to the pharmacy, post office, grocery store, and Wild Birds Unlimited. We took DBIL and DSIL to dinner for their anniversary. Then we played games at our place for a while. Temps today 39 to 47 rainy on and off.

Good Night all! Love & Hugs & Prayers!!

Good to put birthdays and appointment on new 2026 calendar.
I ordered a sturdy wall calendar. I wrote in all the important dates too.
Happy anniversary to your DBIL and DSIL.💕 You all had a nice time celebrating.

Good idea Chris on getting the important dates all filled in; easier than what i usually do; keep both calendars open and compare them as the months goes on 🙄

Howdy do Lovely Owl People 🦉🦉
Spent most of the day catching up on taped shows. Last night TCM aired “You Can’t Take it With You”; i recorded & watched it today. I’ve seen it 4-5 times and it’s still a great movie. Jean Arthur is the featured actor for this month; she was a great comedic actress.
Beautiful day; sunny and 64

Good morning friends ♥ Snow squalls came through again last night. 🙄 Just about 1/2 inch of snow on our driveway and sidewalks. DH has to clean it up again or it will freeze like ice. Temperatures below freezing the next few days. We hardly ever have snow squalls. DH said he would rather have several inches of snow, because he could use the snow blower. He shovels UGH!!! poor guy 💕
I will be working on our new budget for 2026 and balance check book.
Have a warm and cozy day. ttfn

Good time for budgeting and updating finances. DH probably should not be shoveling. Got a neighbor kid that can do it?

Gas is now 3.59 near us.. hasn.t been that low in almost 3 yrs they said.. Some food prices are starting to drop …eggs now down to… Read more »

We have two car garage and a double drive way. The sun hits the driveway late afternoon…so not much melting. Snow squalls are rare around here, but not this year. 😉
Yes, food prices are still high……coffee, and meat prices. One person said she paid $350 for a prime rib for Christmas…..now that is crazy. $$$

We had gluten free pancakes for breakfast. Did a load of laundry and some dishes. Refilled the bird & squirrel feeders. Then we went for a walk around the neighborhood. Did a bunch of this and that between everything else. We also worked on one of the puzzles we got for Christmas. Got the entire outside border completed. We had steak for dinner. Watched two episodes of Homestead on Angel Studios with DH. A bit drippy out today. Temps 31 to 41. Rain tonight.

Good Night all! Love & Hugs & Prayers!
Happy 2026!

I just watched the Rose Bowl Parade as we taped it’’ couldn’t hear the announcers or bands very well due to the rain’’ Both my 2 were in it 3 different times’’ Parade is 5 1/2 miles long. They never had to march in the rain…thankfully. I love the floats and as they go by you can smell the flowers’’

Such a shame it rained on the Rose Bowl Parade.
The eagle float was my favorite…..all were beautiful.
