Good Morning! Raining and 55 going up to 70. We’ve had a little bit of lightning too.
I definitely am having “weather-rib” today. The broken rib area feels quite achy.

Yesterday when I got home from running an errand I noticed how lovely our ‘Bloodgood’ Japanese Maple tree looked on the far side yard. It’s grown tall enough that I could see a portion of it at the corner of our house from the driveway.

the Japanese Maple is looking very good; beautiful plant 💖
Unfortunately, as we age, it takes longer to heal; that rib will be sore/ache for quite awhile — sometimes i really don’t like getting older. 🤔

Thank you 💜 Yeah, I coughed so hard back on March 17th that I unknowingly broke my left lateral seventh rib under my bra band. But I didn’t know that happened until last Friday after some X-rays were ordered so I didn’t know that I needed to avoid certain activities until it heals.

Good morning,
Sunny and chilly outside, nice and cozy warm in the cabin. 😊
Yesterday I was busy putting away food stuff and getting clothing situated. It was a warm beautiful day, I sat outside a bit to enjoy and relax.
Cooked hamburgers for supper with a big slice of tomato on top 😘

Glad you are getting settled. We had garden tomatoes in our salad last night, the first ones but they are small.

Good morning
I did some cleaning of things that are not weekly cleaning. We thought we got our income tax check yesterday but turns out it was a letter from the IRS. I guess they are only doing this electronically now, no on told us. So I tried to make an account so I could give them our new routing # to checking account. That did NOT go well. So I might call at 4:00am our time when the IRS OPENS.
Rick made chicken parm last night and I thought you you and Glenda.

Hi Ardy,
That sounds confusing with the income tax. We do our taxes on TAX ACT and it always comes electronically. I hope you can get it worked out soon.
Chicken parm looks good.

We werent aware they dont send paper checks. I read they wont or cant change your account # for you. So I tried again this morning…what a hassle making an account and having it verified, had to take pics of drivers license, video pic of me….etc.
then enter your account # …..it said it was successful so we shall see.

Good morning. Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam. What a turn around from yesterday cloudy with a strong NE wind gusting to 25mph.with some showers as well. Sat out yesterday but not today although the forecast for the rest of the week is warmer with some sunshine up to 69F. We have a lot of Starlings visiting now because we put out Raisins for the Blackbirds and the starlings love them as well. I bought 5 kilos of raisins from Amazon for birds so they ought to last awhile.lol. Topping up the bird bath a couple of times a day… Read more »

A truly miserable day today Ardy and that wind is cutting when you step outside.
That does not stop the Starlings diving into the bird bath.lol. 😘

Good morning Ice,
Yikes, what a change in weather you had. How nice you were able to sit outside yesterday.🤗
I never heard of feeding birds raisins, how nice you are buying them for the birdies.
Sure hope you get your pretzel today. 😀

Good morning After church on my way to the car I of course had to visit with my friends I saw along the way. I went to Walmart and they now have the new side open with the aisles stocked. They dont have produce or meat yet which is no big deal for me because Rick does the food shopping at Frys’. They are still three months away from being done. The Grand opening is Aug 8th. I came home and Rick helped me unload the car and then I went to Macy’s to pay the bill that is due… Read more »

our old Walmart is now a warehouse that sells discount furniture. They built a brand new one..I remember how shocked I was to see it at first, it looked huge…it doesn’t now that I’m used to it. We don’t go there often,..like DH says, it’s like walking in someone’s basement, lol…and McD’s..he says it’s like being in a garage…not much of an ambience…that’s how they remodel fast food restaurants now, I guess.

Ice, I wonder if your GD Georgie saw this man running in the Marathon while knitting the longest scarf. 😍 This was his story for why he did it, very touching. On 26 April I’m running the London Marathon while knitting a scarf. Yes. At the same time. I’m aiming for a world record, but this isn’t about the record. It’s about my mum. She has Huntington’s Disease. It slowly steals movement, speech, independence. Watching someone you love change like that, and feeling helpless, is brutal. There’s no cure. You just try to show up. I’m doing this… Read more »

Good morning from Maine! We made it and so so so happy to be waking up in the cabin this morning. Yesterday was very busy getting the U-haul unloaded and everything in the storage unit. A couple were there unloading their stuff, they were moving from New York to an island in Maine. They had a beautiful wooden book shelf and they offered it to us since they could not fit it in their storage unit. We were down to loading the last heavy stuff, Denny’s big rolling tool box and my desk and a few other things. A guy… Read more »
