Good morning, Sunny and going to be a beautiful day, 54 going up to 74. The construction guy and crew did not come yesterday, as planned. By mid-morning Denny called and kind of got a run around until Jay did text him saying the store delivering the wood and cement base were short staffed and could not deliver until late in the day. It never arrived. It is beautiful weather this week, perfect for working outside as they do not work in rain I’m sure. Not too happy we did get delayed with having to change the contract but that… Read more »
Jenn, too bad about the contractor but good news about your winter home and nice that you know the area. I wonder if the one lady you talked about is still living there?
Thank you Ardy, it is a relief I will feel very ‘settled’ now. I have been out of sorts since we left Maine. I liked it when we wintered in Florida and had my 2 sisters there and friends we had known. S. Carolina was very different and I honestly longed for the familiar life we had. Denny told me he regretted uprooting us, he was tired of long Maine winters but it was cold in S.C. too, just had earlier Spring and longer Fall by a few weeks. I told him last winter I would never stay there without… Read more »
Which woman would that be Ardy? We had a few neighbors there the one next to us had a big Blood Hound dog and ‘Harley’ would howl whenever we took Danny out. We were in Unit 1 and this time we will be in Unit 8 which is more private and all woods looking out the bedroom window which I love.
Oh gosh I just remember you talking about a lady farther down i think…I dont know if she had a truck or what🤔
Now you know…. you gave it a chance… and you met Joe and his wife.
Yes, there was good from it with meeting Joe and Lynn for sure. 😊
Hi Jenn.
Pity your workers seem a bit unreliable, much like in this country .
Hope they get going soon looking forward to some pics on your uprated camp.
Pleased you have sorted your winter home.😘
Thanks Ice, it is good to know where we will be living and really so happy to back in one state. 💖
Hi Jenn
I’m glad it worked out for an apartment to be available for staying the winter in the area you’re already familiar with 🙏🏻💜

Good morning. Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy Lynn, Pam. A cool morning with some occasional showers a high of 60F today. Up early again today so an early trip for the paper but still loads of traffic around at 7-30 am. Just seems to be growing by the year now, need another bypass now. For some time we have always had a couple of pigeons hanging around the feeders picking up the bits the small birds drop. But lately we have had anything up to an dozen pigeons at one time and a couple have learned to get onto the feeders.… Read more »
Good morning Ice,
Sounds like the schools are back open this week with that traffic Ice. 😏
Too bad the pigeons were taking over, I hope the situation with just 2 feeders they cannot get into will quickly discourage them.
Hi Jenn.
A different breed of pigeon has turned up in the last couple of months and they have worked out how to raid a certain feeder I have but I have removed them for a pigeon proof couple of feeders.
Watched them try in out already but they had no luck, they have gradually left today, for good I hope.😘
Hopefully for good Ice, big birds like pigeons could be a problem around the smaller ones you want to feed.
I’m sure the little birdies are grateful. 😀
Hi Ice
Tucson was considered a small town when i moved here which I loved…..no freeways going through the town like Phoenix which allowed it to grow more and more. They talked about it here but it got too late and wont be done now but they do update bridges and major intersections with more curves and turns…lol
We are not fans of pigeons either and we have SO many as soon I feed the birds. They only stay on the ground looking for fallen seeds though. They are pesky!!!
Hi Ardy.
We were a quiet country town once but not anymore such a pity.🙄
The pigeons in my garden just pick up what the small birds drop.
But just lately we have had a different breed of pigeon visiting and a couple of them learned to get onto my feeders.
But I do have a couple of pigeon proof ones and at the moment they have disappeared for ever I hope.lol.😘
That is what our pigeons do they pick up the bird seeds that are dropped. There aren’t too many at the moment but usually we have 10, 15 of them
RATS — Hurricane’s lost 🏒 good game; sorry it didn’t end up the correct way 😔

A case to be made for punctuation; or not, depends on who’what is being addressed 🤔 😂

Raining on AmyJo narrowboat…Ice are you getting rain?
Hi Ardy.
We have had some overnight rain but nothing of significance.
Good Morning! Cloudy and 64 going up to 74 with a stray shower or thunderstorm possible.
Yesterday Craig got great news during his follow-up appointment with Dr Rosen (his proctologist). At this time there is no need for any additional hemorrhoid procedures unless Craig starts experiencing symptoms again.
This morning I am with MIL-Joyce for her routine macular degeneration appointment (about every 8 weeks). As I type this we’re in the waiting room.
Here’s a pic I took yesterday of one of the newly planted ‘Bat Faced’ Cuphea ❤️💜
I had to google them to see the faces better, how cute. I wonder if they would grow here?
These are considered hardy in growing zones 9-11. I think Tucson is considered either 9a or 9b so I’ll bet they’d do fine in your area.
I will google about them in the desert and see. Thanks.
Let me know what you learn 😊
Kathy, that is wonderful news that Craig does not have to have any further procedures, unless he has future issues. 💙
I like the looks of this ‘Bat Faced’ Cuphea. 😊
💙
Oh yesterday morning before I left I was sitting in the living room and I heard some flapping, there was a hummingbird in the living room! It was frantic. It was flying all over in the living/dining room. I opened the door while Rick tried to guide it out. It landed on the window sill so he gently picked it up and let it go. This elderly lady named Candace sit by me and her niece makes things. She has given me an Angel and an Easter bunny. Yesterday she gave me a mermaid….she she I look like a mermaid…..lol… Read more »
What a startling experience with the Hummingbird inside of your house. Great news that Rick was able to gently get it outside.
What a sweet gift from Candace’s niece 💝
It was better than a bat but I felt so bad for the little hummer♥
Oh the poor little hummingbird, thankful Rick was able to help it get outside.
That is a cute little mermaid 🥰
