Good afternoon…last night we took the dogs out for ice cream and a walk at the cemetery…this morning I walked Bane with the dog walking friend. It’s a bit cool and breezy, nice…might get bad storms tomorrow and don’t like that it’s my first petsitting day of a 10-111 day job. I’ll be keeping a close eye on the weather. I just had a farmer’s market salad and there are hamburgers left from when DH grilled, gave a couple to my mom. Time now to feed the dogs and then get some things done.

Lynn, do you stay at the house with the pet your caring for or go in and check on them and walk them?
Hope the storms won’t be too bad tomorrow. Might be the storms we are getting predicted for Thursday but mostly New Hampshire will get the brunt of it. Still could change though.

I have stayed at peoples’ houses but can’t now, with DH gone so much…I stay as long as I can, especially with dogs…and usually I go three or four times. The dogs I’ll be taking care of have a fenced in yard so no walking but I’ll play with them and be there a lot.

Good Morning! A low humidity day for a change which is welcome 😀 It’s sunny and a comfortable 69 going up to 82. Craig is on vacation this entire week so it’s been nice for both of us to get a little more sleep each morning without his 6:15 alarm going off. I was able to sleep in until almost 7:30 yesterday and today 😌 We’re on staycation now rather than traveling anywhere. Our only travel plans are for this coming Saturday morning when we will drive about 45 minutes to Creekside Nursery in Dallas NC for a ‘Southern Living… Read more »

Hi Kathy
How nice Craig is on staycation with you. Is he close to retirement age yet?
What fun the garden party will be…that is a lovely area.

Craig will be 65 in August. Two more years before he reaches full retirement age for social security.

Good morning. Our rain, thunder and lightning yesterday continued into the morning. Rick was up and showered by 6am to get on the roof to drain the cooler. Luckily the rain stopped long enough for him to get that done and then started up the AC. The house feels better but we have a hard time with the doors being closed now. We like to have them open. Jamie came by for mom’s sewing machine and she told me later it was up and running after not being used since before mom died in 2013. She is really happy and… Read more »

Hi Ardy
I’m glad Rick was able to get up on the roof to accomplish changing over to the AC.
Wonderful news about Jamie already getting your mother’s Viking sewing machine running 😀
That’s too bad you can smell the smoke from the fire in the mountains.

Oh boy, Jamie is so lucky to have that machine. It’s a beauty!💗
Great news you have your A/C up and running. I feel the same about the doors open and windows open.

Good morning, The rain stopped around noontime yesterday and the crew arrived to work on the addition. They had an extra guy and worked hard all afternoon. They put most of the metal roofing on. They will be back today. The very nice man, Jay, who is the builder has been bringing his dog, Bailey, with him when he is working here. She liked Danny and I would share some treats with them both when she was here. They arrived yesterday and I stepped out to tell the guys ( 4 workers now ) to make sure they helped themselves… Read more »

Hi Jenn,
I suppose it is a little hard seeing Bailey go to where the treats were……nice she jumped on Denny’s lap.
I hope you find a parking place.

Good morning.
Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam.
Pretzel day shopping done and dusted once again, my knees just about held up again but my computer chair was most welcome.
Collapsed into that while I am writing this post.lol.
Store nearly empty at 8-00 so that is the best time to go.
We could get some rain showers today very cloudy right now and a high of 72F so no heat wave yet although the outlook is very hot at times.
Time for that coffee and Pretzel now see you all soon.😀😘

Good morning Ice,

So happy you got the pretzels today and had a successful shopping trip with you ‘legs’. I’m sure the comfy chair felt good when you could collapse into it! 😀

Jenn, the addition is coming along nicely 😘 So sorry about the panic attack; you’ve been awfully stressed these last few days {{HUGS}}
Ice, my weather is like yours, all over the place; so cold the boiler kicks on, then so hot, you can’t sleep 🙄
Ardyth, hope the fire in the Catalina’s was under control with the rain/humidity you’re getting. 🌧
Kathy, again, congratulations to the Carolina Hurricanes 🏒

Thank you so much, Pam 😀 The day of Game 6 I told MIL-Joyce that since YOU were pulling for the Canes (since the Avalanche weren’t competing) that I was certain the Canes would win 🥰
