I am late …..the monsoons started last night, the official season starts today. It was another stifling day in our house. Lightning started the mountain on fire last night. Rick was going to get on the roof and close the swamp but it is raining, thundering and lightning still.
I had to chase this palo verde beetle out of the house this morning!!!!!!!!!
Hi Ardy,
Those bugs are so creepy. We do not have them in Maine so that is a plus.😮
I hope soon Rick will be able to get up on the roof and stop the swamp cooler so you can have your A/C inside.
Very scary with fire on the mountain.
yikes!!
He is up and on the roof now!!!
Hi Ardy
I thought I already posted a reply but I don’t see it.
What a shock that the mountain was started on fire last night by the lightning!
It is common Kathy, with the heat and lack of rain.
Good morning, It is raining fairly heavy now, just started about an hour ago. Supposed to stop around noon but not sure the guys will come to work if it’s all wet. They worked hard last Thursday/Friday and it’s going so good. We are pretty out of sorts just seem to be drifting about doing nothing. We did take a ride down to Bristol looked at the house we had and stopped for an ice cream. I stopped to buy hamburger and felt like I had a panic attack in the store, just felt like I could not breath so… Read more »
Hi Jenn.
Looks a good space.
Danny was your life for the both of you so you are bound to feel some strange after effects.
Hope that was not a panic attack hope you feel ok now.
You have lost your lovely dogs before given a certain amount of time to get over Dannys loss will you be getting another dog in the future.😪
Thank you Ice, it is such a loss. He was always near us, he made sure he was not left behind, the first one at the door if we were going out. I have lost 6 other collies in 4 decades, Christie and Buddy, Callie and Luke, Lacy and Casey ( our adopted collie she was 8 when we adopted her from the shelter ) and Danny Boy. I have mourned them all but right now Danny seems the hardest yet. We most likely will not have another dog and that makes it harder. Would it be fair to get… Read more »
I am okay Ardy, not wanting to bring anyone down with my grief. I know it will get easier with time. I have lost 6 other collies I was just writing under Ice’s post their names. 4 decades of owning and loving my beloved collies.
Same with Rick. When I met him in 1980 he had Nikki #2
The room looks great Jenn!!! I am sorry you had a panic attack. Grieving a pet is so hard on me, i cry and cry and cry…..so I know what you are going through.
Thanks Ardy, one thing about grief you cannot run from it. It comes in waves and you just have to work through. I just suddenly felt like I could not breath in the store. Even in there I was hit with thoughts of Danny. I tried to not panic and threw some cash down for the food not wanting to wait using the card. I came out of it.
i have had that happen also when going through really tough times…could be a panic attack or the start of one. you will know if you are ready for another dog…I know a lady your age who got a dog who was maybe 4/6?, a wonderful dog..she goes to our dog classes…there are even breed specific shelters and they will take back the dog if needed and are very good at matching up dogs with people. anyway…I do understand and it takes time…
I am sorry you had those attacks, pretty scary at the time. I am not sure of a future dog but taking the time now to get through losing Danny.💔
oh, i understand…
Hi Jenn
I think the new addition is looking great so far.
I’m so sorry about the panic attack you experienced. Prayers continuing for God to heal your broken hearts and emotions 🙏🏻💞
Thank you Kathy. 🙏
Good Monday morning.
Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam.
A cloudy start to the day but we will get to 74F today and warming up even more through this week into next week.
We shall be getting back into the 80F range by next week and I see thunder storm symbols on the weather App for next week..
So another heat wave in the making again not something I look forward to.😓.
Getting used to these early morning starts, traffic virtually nil so no hold ups at all at this hour.
Hope you all had a peaceful day yesteday.😀😘
Good morning Ice,
I know you won’t enjoy another heat wave, maybe it won’t be so bad. 🤔
It sure is nice driving when the traffic is not all congested. A very good time for you to go and get back.😀
Hi Jenn.
I shall be moaning no doubt.lol.
It looks like it will be the norm this year with a very powerful El neino.
I shall be getting up at 6-00 for the summer and back to 7-00 in the Winter when it is cold and miserable.😀😘
That is a good plan Ice! I wake early now with the sun rising so early the room lights up. It is nice to sleep in later on the darker days.
Good morning Ice
I hope you had a nice Sunday.
Hi Ardy.
A very restful day nodded off in my chair at times.lol😀😘
CONGRATS to the CANES 🏒 on winning the 2026 Stanley Cup with Game 6 shutout of Golden Knights 🎉🎉

Good Morning! Sunny and 75 going up to 95 with possible afternoon thunderstorms.
Yesterday I picked up the cat food order from PetSmart. Afterwards I went to Aldi and found what I needed. No set plans yet for today.
Have a great day Kathy

Beautiful image Kathy.
