Made it to 100 today; was supposed to reach 103, guess we dodged a bullet 😏 glad the A/C compressor is only 5 years old. Whenever I went to DisneyLand/World, i collected/bought pins and did the trade-thing with both random strangers (visitors) and cast members (employees). And now i have about 60 of them; unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any Limited Editions. 😔 So probably not worth overmuch at market, but some of them are very cool. I’ll get ’em stored in the Disney pin book for display, then see if Chelsea wants it for Lexi. Eventually, i’ll get… Read more »

Good Morning! Sunny, humid and 83 (at 10:55 AM) going up to 94 with a chance for afternoon thunderstorms. Overnight I was awakened around 1 AM by a heavy thunderstorm. We got just shy of 1/2″ in the rain gauge. Craig is participating in a sports announcing summit that started Sunday evening with dinner and a keynote speaker. Craig will return home sometime Tuesday afternoon. So yesterday I tried to crisp up a 6″ thin pizza crust in the air fryer before I loaded any sauce or toppings. I quickly learned that it was too lightweight and was immediately being… Read more »

Hi Kathy
Glad you got some rain. It seems like Joyce’s appointment came around early.
I hope you are keeping busy with Craig gone.

Joyce’s last appointment was 7 weeks ago on June 2nd. Those 7 weeks did seem to fly by.
Yes I am keeping busy while Craig’s gone (even though I slept in until 7:30 this morning, lol.

That is very scary to wake to those booming thunder storms. 😯
Denny put the paper liner in the air fryer to pre-heat it and did not realize to put it under the insert and it was flying all around. Being careful with lightweight items is a good idea.
Miss Chai looks so sweet in her favorite spot.💗 How I miss Danny and having a pet to play with and care for.

Thanks Jenn 💜 I have not been feeling my best due to the heat and humidity so I haven’t posted here much at all. We have a very efficient AC unit which is great for when I’m indoors but when I need to go outside to run errands, etc. it’s very oppressive.

I am sorry you have not been feeling well.🙏
The summer we spent in South Carolina in 2024 I felt the same. I was not used to such humid and hot weather and I did feel physically sick outside for more than a few minutes. I do hope you have some relief from these temperatures soon.💜

Good morning, Beautiful sunny day, 64 going up to 78 degrees. Yesterday was beautiful sunny and warm, the best days of summer. I am cherishing each one. Poor Denny, I mowed some of the lawn while he was working on putting the skirting on the back of camp and fixing the drain pipes which were disrupted when the builders were here. Later he grabbed the mower and started mowing the area where I got the stings last week and next thing he is running in the house with 3 bites on his lower leg and two on his arm! He… Read more »

Thanks Ice, it is very painful. The venom gets under your skin and they flare up for a few days with itching, swelling and burning feeling. I was almost a week before mine settled down.

Good Morning I went to church yesterday and spent the rest of the putzing around with finalizing things I need to take or dont need to take. I pressed mu capris to take the hangar crease out. Rick made baby back ribs the way my mom used to make them, in the oven with BBQ sauce and onions and he made my Aunts coleslaw dressing recipe which was very good. He doesnt usually buy Baby back ribs. Well, I have today and tomorrow and then I leave for MN. My stress level is rising now….just the way I am about… Read more »

I understand that for you Ardy. My sisters Deena and Barb flew back and forth to Florida for several years and they were always stressed about it coming and going. Especially Barb would worry about everything…missing flights etc.

We are both from Austin MN. She and Mike now live 5 hours from Austin as they oved Up North three years ago and bought a lake home. I land at 2:40pm and we are going down to Austin for the night to meet Her brother and his girlfriend at George’s Pizza. And then we’re going to the bar and meeting a bunch of friends of mine and some cousins. In the morning we will go to the Spam Museum and see what we can find to buy drive by a couple of places and then head back up north… Read more »

Good Monday morning. Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam. The cool blanket experiment is now at an back under the duvet cover again. Although the latest blanket was huge, being such soft material we both ended up wrapped like a Christmas present.lol Could not find the sides so just ended up in a heap. Given away to Andrew my no2 son see what he makes of it. Not quite as sticky last night so I hope it continues to get fresher but the temp still in the 80F for a few more days. Up again at 5-30 so off for… Read more »

Good morning Ice,
I was afraid of you not having luck with the blanket. Just the sound of the word ‘blanket’ made me wonder. I use a cool cotton sheet only when it is too hot but we thankfully do have A/C. I hope your son has better luck with it! Were there many reviews when you order it? Maybe you should leave a review.😉
