Good Morning! Sunny and 71 going up to 89 with possible afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Around 5:00 PM yesterday I got really sick in my lower GI area. I wound up going to bed very early around 6:30 PM without eating dinner since I had no appetite. Except for a couple of bathroom breaks to empty my bladder I was in bed until around 6:30 AM this morning. Thankfully I’m much better and have enough appetite to eat oatmeal with some banana this morning. While sitting at the dining room table this morning eating my breakfast this sweet Hummingbird was… Read more »

Good morning I walked yesterday since the morning was cool after some rain but it heated up to 100° I did my fingernails, some laundry, cleaned the spare room grout which was easy. The hall bath is left I think I might do that this morning then every room will be done. The new shampoo rug cleaner arrived. Rick made tacos. I ordered Rick a new cutting board that i didnt realize was so thin from Target, now i have to return it. So i ordered another wooden one from Walmart and i clicked pickup to save shipping not realizing… Read more »

Nice you were able to get a walk in before it got too hot.
You have done well getting all the grout almost done, now you almost at the finish line!😀
I have never done a drive by pick up either, let us know how it goes!

This is the best cutting board I have ever had. My son Gabe made it for me for my birthday 2 years ago. It is heavy and sturdy. He carved this on it, which makes it extra special to me. 💗

Thank you Kathy.💗 I bought a good mineral oil for cutting boards on Amazon. After just taking this picture I see I need to treat it, looking dry.

Good morning, Sunny today and warming up a bit for a couple days, into the 80’s. Rain tomorrow. We got through this week with everything working out for deliveries. So happy we have everything and now have a lot of work getting settled but can take our time. We were pretty tired by late afternoon yesterday. We picked up takeout at a local place we love ( we took Barb there on Mother’s day ), I had a haddock basket and Denny had a shrimp basket. We have not had a home cooked meal for 3 nights so tonight I… Read more »

Hi Jenn,
Glad everything has gone smoothly.
I wonder what did happen at the house, maybe you will find out.
Stuffed shells sound good. Eat out is fun but nit all the time.

Jenn

So true Ardy, fun to eat out once in awhile but 3 days of it definitely too much!
It looked strange to see the lawn with a huge hole and piles of dirt/grass around it. Hope no one was injured.

Hi Jenn
Great news that all of your deliveries went smoothly 😊
I hope there were no injuries where you saw the huge hole in the yard 🙏

Good morning.
Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam.
Quite a cool night for once but theDuvet performed well.
We will be having some hot days again next week with still no rain in sight.
Everything is so brown and scorched now crying out for some wet stuff.
The whole country is now in drought condition worse than the Hot summer of 1976 now
Bird baths topped up off for the paper now see you all soon.😀😘

Hi Ardy.

Good morning Ice,
I have seen on the news the terrible drought gripping Europe. I pray for relief everywhere soon.🙏
So the blanket helped keep you comfy on a cooler night, that is great!😊

Hi Jenn.
Getting really serious now, reservoirs running low across the country some of them revealing old villages that were flooded when they filled. Not seen for decades some of them. Hope this does not become the norm.
At least that worked out very well even on the cooler night and I am by nature a chilly person.lol.😘

Got ahold of HVAC repair people, several of them. 3 of whom called back, but only 2 could do something. I went with the neighbor’s recommendation. Less expensive but the fix took forever. He got here at 10, finally found the problem around noon; Left to have lunch; had to pick up the part in Pueblo, a 2-hr R/T. He got back a little after 3p. 🙄 97F outside, about 82 in the house. 4.30p; think we’re good; A/C ran for about 30 mins while he was here. He wasn’t even at the end of the street when it stopped.… Read more »

Hi Pam,
Happy you have the A/C back!
Reminds me of in S. Carolina, everyone in the community had the big outside A/C Vacs and there was always a repair truck at someones house it seemed. Our neighbor had 2 guys working on theirs for hours one day. I was always praying ours would not stop.

Our AC unit is outside too at the end of the house……I think our central AC was in our furnace back in MN if i recall

Jenn

Probably Ardy, In Maine our heating was always inside with the furnace.

Good Morning! Sunny, humid and 75 going up to 88. We only got 1/4″ of rain yesterday. Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and we would welcome the rain as long as the storm (if we get one) is not severe. I need to do some kitchen cleanup before I move on to other things on today’s agenda. A few days ago I saw this Cicada on the asphalt not far from our driveway. It didn’t move when I used a stick to shift its position so I suspect it was no longer alive. I like the color on its head… Read more »
