Good morning, It has been a couple very busy days but we have gotten a lot done. All our belongings came yesterday from storage and today our new furniture will arrive. then we can take our time getting settled. We have a big capacity washing machine and I did 2 large loads yesterday and have more to do today. I did a bit more work in the kitchen cupboards, it is a slow process for me lining shelves. Fried dough with cinnamon sugar — the best. 😋 My mom could not make a pie to save her life; none of us actually cared because she always ended up making cinnamon sugar squares. I say squares with tongue firmly in cheek; those pieces of dough were cut helter-skelter; never the same size nor evenly cut; but they sure were yummy 😋
Good morning Yesterday morning was busy. I went to the Dollar tree to get things that I buy there. Ginger chews are my favorite new discovery. Then i drove to an older Walmart that has an eye center to see if they had the frames I found in MN and they did. They come with clip on sunglasses which I am so happy about. Glenda has a similar carpet cleaner and it does a good job of cleaning the carpets.👌
Hot summers are the normal here of course but they do wear on us when we are out in it.

We have never cleaned our carpets ourselves, ever. The carpet is dirty from us waling on it and I hate to admit it but Nikki has peed on it three times in the last year. A comfortable night under the Summer Duvet, finally the right answer.
A sunny start to the day with a temp of just a cool 70f but that climbs to the high 80F again for the weekend and into next week.
No real let up in the hot weather yet and still no rain for at least the next fortnight.
Had rain shower yesterday lasted all of 3 minutes barely got the ground damp and that was that.🙄
Off to get the paper now catch you all in a while.😀😘

It works, finally comfortable sleep.
Glenda is doing fine Ardy the problem was low Sodium level which can be vey dangerous.
She has a return appointment to give more blood as her Sodium level at her last appointment was on the low side.
We have been drinking Coconut water every day in this heat as it has a Sodium content as well.😘
Glad to hear they are keeping track of it. My mom had that once and we didnt know what was going on with her and she was hospitalized and had to to to rehab. It was scary
Can be frightening to watch somebody that does not respond to you and you cannot rouse them.😥
Yes, we had no idea what was happening to her…..she went to my sisters house and then the hospital
The same thing happened with my Mom; Chuck was practically force feeding her Gatorade. She didn’t like it much, but he always put an ice cube in the little cup and got her to drink it that way.

A lot of black cloud about this afternoon but not a drop of rain in them.🙄.
It took a few goes at it Jenn but this Summer duvet is perfect to sleep under.

Around 5.30p my A/C died. Well, the fan runs, just doesn’t blow cool air 😧 I’ve left a message with 2 companies, waiting on a return call from another one. At 10p, it’s 67F outside & 80F in the house, so we aren’t melting, but it’s gotta get repaired and SOON; Tomo will not be pretty.
These “trees” would be better served if they hunched over to protect those plates ↓↓

We will see how it performs when the house cools down and temps drop.
