Today will see 92f up to 94F tomorrow, high night temp to go with it. As soon as he drove away, started my pantry clear-out; so many expired items 🙄 And now I can’t lift the trash bag, naturally 😏 Dang, shoulda checked the date on the rice i had for lunch; definitely old — UGH.
Great news Pam, Chuck and Rick will be home tomorrow.♥ Must be quiet without them.
Hope the rice was okay. I am a bit of a fanatic checking food dates especially perishables!

Good morning, It was so nice to wake at 1am to the sound of thunder ( which is very rare ) and then the heavy rain came and turned lighter after a bit but we had a good rain. I do not like thunder and lightening but when it brings in rain and takes out humidity I welcome it. We had a few hot days and now we are comfortable again. Good morning I did some cleaning and laundry yesterday. Then came the news that Jackie the Big Bear Queen died and I couldn’t stop crying. Then I saw this long post first thing on FB this morning…………this is only part of it….. I have cried an absolutely ridiculous amount of tears today over a bald eagle. And I don’t even care how ridiculous that sounds. Jackie died today. Never knew of that story, obviously a very sad outcome for all the people who followed theirvstory.😣
A very famous bald eagle nest in Big Bear California. They were made famous by ABC TV station who showed their nest quite often.
Jackie was attacked by two young eagles and rescued and they discovered she was anemic and worked on her for three weeks to save her………………so it was very sad. Here is a picture before fire fighters rescued her.
How very sad.😥
It has affected thousands of people…………..so very sad. Watching nests can be heartbreaking since we get so attached.
Jackie’s death is very sad Ardy. I felt as sad when we lost Harriet at SWFL and when Ma Berry had the bad foot and she was left by Pa. I felt the same when we lost Rachel at HI. We come to love these beautiful creatures and such a loss when they are gone. It is a risk we take for all the joy they give us.
Jackie’s death reminded me of these other greats we lost, including Dad Decorah.
Very sad for sure. 💔

Hi Kathy, gosh after reading that you cried It’s bringing tears to my eyes again. I was not a faithful watcher but it was a nest that I peeked in on as long as it’s been around. I have a tendency to stick with SPO sites because I like their format where you can post pictures and chat although Big Bear is on SPO now I don’t think it was before. It is just really sad. 💔 but But those veterinarians did everything possible, they went above and beyond trying to save her.🦅🦅

A hot day today but even hotter tomorrow and the next day 85F today.
Tomorrow 93F Thursday could reach 95F cooling down by the end of the week back into the 70F range.
Even that is now feeling a little chilly after these high temps.lol.
Humidity back with a bang as well, but nothing like the humidity that Kathy suffers.
It’s Pretzel day once again testing out my legs again but it is exercise I Suppose hope they hold up.
