Yesterday I gave myself a pedicure and polished my toenails. Rick drove my car through the carwash with a free coupon from the dealership. I noticed some fine scratches on the hood which I am sure are from Roger since he sleeps on the roof of my car sometimes. The sun is also hard on cars and my old KIA has sun damage on the right side that was exposed to the sun in the carport.
So, I ordered a coverup for my new KIA….it will probably be a pain but I dont drive it every day.

A good idea to protect your new car from the sun ( and Roger’s nails ).
The carport is open to the right side and back where you drive in …..this is cheaper than building a wall

it seems lots of people have car ports there..we have a garage but it’s stuffed with DH”s stuff..small anyway, over 100 years old.
Yes you are right, The older homes have carports because that is the way they built them then, and our house was bulit in 1959……then in the late 1980’s they built garages connected to the houses.

Good morning, Yesterday afternoon I made cakes for a 2 layer cake. I used WhiteLily flour for the first time and I made the wedding cake recipe. 4 egg whites should make it light and soft. I wrapped them well when cooled and will make the frosting today. We picked up a wedding card and gift cert. for Joe and Lynn and look forward to their visit this afternoon. I love Chex mix. I have made three double batches so far. I dont put nuts in mine, just pretzels.
I use a roasting pan to make mine in the oven.
Does he make his in the oven?
Yes Ardy, he baked 2 cookie sheets of it in the oven. I guess it’s a low heat of like 250? He bought rice and corn chex and a big can of mixed nuts and with all the seasonings. I though it smelled yucky cooking but he loved it and was munching off an on with it. He got 2 big ziplock bags stored for his snacking.
I always think of MawMaw at Phoebe’s Hummingbird cam, she loved it and would make many batches at Christmas time to share with many people. She was an amazing cook.
Oh he should buy wheat chex, it is THE best Chex cereal. It is always more expensive but Frys had all the boxes on sale for less than $2 which was a big savings so we got extra wheat just to eat as cereal. Yes 250 degrees for an hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
I qualified for the tin but it wont come until March

Just drove through an unexpected shower but that has cleared and it will be dry and sunny from now on.

Good Morning! Cloudy now and 54 going up to 57 with sunny conditions expected later this morning. Overnight it rained and we had just over 0.75″ in our rain gauge when I checked it this morning.
Yesterday I cleaned out a kitchen shelf and tossed a few things. I hope to do more of the same today. First thing this morning I washed a load of towels and now they are ready for the dryer.
It’s hard to believe Christmas is only 6 days away.

I have friends that send those cards too but, I am too cheap to pay for it.
