Good Monday morning. Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam. A cloudy day but temp into the 50F range, but from Christmas day there will be night frosts and day time temp in the 40F range. Just back from Glenda giving her blood, decided to do a quick shop for mainly fruit in Lidl’s at 8-30am. Got to Lidl’s and had a job finding a parking space and inside it was bedlam. The stores really are crazy now. After we went to breakfast yesterday I wanted to run into a store nearby to check for something and it was so mobbed I just left and said let’s get home!

They stay in groups and we often see 6=8 together. They sadly are forced into smaller wood areas with all the crazy building of condos and townhouses here.

Good afternoon…tired today and hoping to just relax…need a break from people for one thing…the other day early in the morning I was involved in a dog search for a friend who was out of town..the dog ran off at 1a.m. from her sister’s house when she let her out to pee..she was out all night in the bitter cold..my mom and I drove around looking and looking…after awhile went to my friend’s house and found her dog…I’m leaving out some things, making it shorter but..took awhile to drape a blanket around her, pick her up and get her in… Read more »
yesterday went to a community Christmas concert…it was so beautiful that I didn’t want to leave for our family meal at a nice restaurant bu finally did…had spinach, feta, and chicken ravioli…then DH, DS and I went to FIL’s…he was surprised to see DS and enjoyed looking at his pictures (DS wrote what they were on a white board)…they stayed late watching the great Bears game. Good Morning! Sunny and 34 going up to 63. On Friday when I started preheating our oven to bake a pizza the oven baking element had an issue on one side of it and almost caused a fire. I immediately turned off the oven and let it completely cool down. I tested preheating it again and it worked without any flares but it took longer to reach the needed temperature setting. I was able to successfully bake the pizza so initially Craig and I decided just to wait and keep a watch on the oven’s baking element during future baking… Read more »

Good morning, 38 degrees going up to 62 with sun. A bit chilly outside this morning. We had the best time yesterday with friends Joe and Lynn. When they came in I had 2 loafs of bread cooling on the kitchen island. Joe was staring so I cut him a piece and he loved it. Lynn was in love with my kitchenaid and Joe said she will get one for Christmas to make him bread. Pretty easy, I speak slowly to her as she is processing English ( how she describes it ). I did not understand a little of what she said but Joe jumps in to help. He seems so crazy about her I am very happy for them both.

Good morning Yesterday morning I applied my nails and then I colored my hair. I It was time to give Nikki a bath and a little trim so she would be pretty for Christmas. Well, she has been scratching for quite some time now longer than I want to admit but Rick thought it was probably from her heart medicine. I googled it a while back and it did say it could be an allergic reaction and they would scratch. But when I was giving her a bath I noticed she had fleas… UGH!!!!! I have no idea where the fleas came from? Nikki did have to have shots at the Vet awhil ago…maybe that is where she got them.
That was in Sept.
When we returned from Maine in October and I still got the bite on leg and had to clear out the room and spray and powder down. I thought we had gotten rid of them before we left. I got that powder from Walmart.

Oh no Ardy, so sorry about the fleas. You know what we went through here with fumigating my sewing room from the fleas. The bites I had were painful, I feel so bad for Nikki. Fleas dig into rugs and can be so hard to get rid of. I took out the rug I had in that room.

I got rid of the rug i bought in June, full of dog hair and bought a new rug a couple weeks ago.
Did Danny have fleas, is that where they came from?
My back area is better but, still sore.
No, I believe the fleas were in packaged quilt batting someone here gave me, or yarn I had picked up at a Spring community yard sale here. I had the yarn on a shelf where I found many fleas crawling in the Spring before we left. Denny and Danny never got bites because the room is at the far end of the house and I was really the only one in there.
