Good morning! It’s raining! It started at 2:00 AM and it’s still raining now at 5:00 AM. Well yesterday Rick got the medicine for Nikki. The vet wants her to take three pills, One pill a month at $28 a pill. The vet said that we should treat the cats for fleas also. So he had to go to Petco and buy the stuff you put between their shoulder blades at $40. This is getting costly. Roger and Michi were sleeping on the bed. Hi Ardy, don’t you flea the cats every month I still have Willows flea treatments and just treating for fleas is expensive without the worming and everything else !
No we dont and never have for any of our cats we have had and none have ever had fleas. They dont have them now either.
we don’t either, don’t like giving them that stuff but guess we have to with the dogs, tick prevention also.
Morning Ardy, It sure isn’t cheap getting medications for animals. Those fleas can be so hard to get rid of though so good to have them all treated. Once we treated Yoda our cat with tick medication that was over the counter and he had the same reaction as Michi, he freaked out completely and we got ahold of him and put him in the tub and scrubbed off all we could and he calmed down. We used what the Vet recommended but i was surprised, she ran off the bed and was rowdy in the house …she wanted to go outside!!!!
Yes this year will be something different…MN hamburger hotdish with chow mein noodles on top, rice, Caesar salad and French bread heated in the oven.

Hi Beryl, When I talked to my son Gabe last night he said it was coming down at a pretty good clip. I just looked at the snowfall for his city and it looks like he got 14″ ! He said he wasn’t crazy about shoveling but it was so pretty and they loved it for Christmas! A cold morning with a gusty ENE wind blowing making the temp feel like 25F.
A high of 38F today.
Just been for the paper and the traffic was very light so it looks like yesterday was the last big shopping day.
Topped up the feeders we seem to be getting back a lot of small birds this cold weather.
Gold finches have returned along with the Green finches.
Coffee and cheese time now.lol.😀😘

Good morning…sipping my apple cinnamon fritter coffee…DS stayed here last night and left for Wisconsin after he had coffee…he’s going to a camera shop there. grocery store mostly..also a gift shop here has the Door County brand..I see them everywhere.
I haven’t checked our grocery for coffees but I did see when I went to Kroger recently that they have a Starbucks cafe inside.

Good morning, 42 going up to 67 with partly cloudy. I went to the grocery store yesterday and to the dollar store next to it. I pity the store workers at the dollar tree, the aisles have stuff all over the floors where people just pull stuff out and drop it. It is very busy for them I think more than usual with Christmas shoppers. We might go back. We have a lovely home here but we both miss family and Denny says he pushed for getting out of Maine winters but regrets it now. We do not have snow ( well some last winter ) but we have cold here in the low 30’s and even teens last week. We had many years being snowbirds but had our roots in Maine. We have met a few couples here who have decided to move back to their home states.
I had a feeling…it has to be hard being away from family..Your weather in SC isnt as warm as I thought it would be in the winter.
We thought it would be too. We did some research but did not get a clear picture.
If I went south again it would be Florida. We both kind of miss it since we spent 16 winters there. Definitely not year round but a couple three months in winter in Florida would be good.

I feel bad for those workers as well. I often put things back where they belong while I am shopping that others have carelessly left where they don’t belong. I also make sure to be extra kind to the workers themselves.
I didn’t get any cards mailed this year either!
too bad people did that, so far I haven’t seen that in stores here but I’d be picking some up to, to help out, if I did.
I am sure you would help out Lynn, it is just awful how some people treat others.
I feel better I wasn’t the only one.😉 I am messaging family who sent cards and telling them I am behind this year.
It really got to me yesterday thinking how uncaring people are leaving the mess for the already overworked clerks.
I also am very kind to the workers and compliment them. Hope that helps a little.
I think it does help the workers when I am extra kind and compliment them. It usually makes them smile 😊💝
Good morning I washed EVERYTHING including ALL the bedding, blankets, bath rugs etc think we would get flea meds from the Vet yesterday. Rick went over there at 9am and the Vet wasnt in yet…..he had to call them twice and finally about 4pm they called him back…too late to get the pill/s then so he will go this morning. Great idea washing everything Ardy. From my experience the miserable fleas can hold out in something and come back. From the perspective of us going away 4 months and them still being in my sewing room, Yikes!
What a wild price for that home. Will they possibly have an open house you could then go inside and look around?

We are 99% of the time and we never saw any of that furniture being moved into the house.
