A cold but clear start no quite a frost a high of 41F today.
But a very strong NE wind gusting to 40mph at times so not a time to be outside today. Brrrr.
Expecting some family visitors this morning so will have a houseful I think.lol.

Good late morning…last night DH made his spaghetti and we ate with DS and my sister…then my sister and I watched A Christmas Carol. Today DH came home early this morning to cook breakfast but DS had already left to go run in Wisconsin. This afternoon my sister and mom are going to visit our aunt and uncle. I’m hoping my sister will go to the Christmas Eve service with me..and later maybe watch a movie but we’ll see. Hope you all have a nice Christmas Eve day and night.

Good Morning! Sunny and 46 going up to 74. Yesterday I was busy doing some prep for our Christmas Eve meal we will eat for dinner tonight. We no longer roast a turkey as we prefer a deli rotisserie chicken instead. After lunch I went to Harris Teeter deli for a freshly cooked rotisserie chicken and when I got home I removed the chicken from the carcass and pulled it apart in a casserole dish. Good morning, Milder outside this morning. Denny wanted to take me out for a pre Christmas dinner at the Outback Restaurant ( ( I kind of think he wanted a nice steak dinner too ) 😊 We went late afternoon to avoid a big crowd and it was pretty busy but we got right in. Filet Mignon is my favorite steak but I haven’t had it in more than 10 years. It was always so nice and tender whenever I ordered at our favorite steakhouse that no longer exists. The original owner Meadowview Steakhouse retired and when the new owners took over it was never the same. As a result the steakhouse went out of business. Whenever we go out to a steakhouse now it’s usually Longhorn.
I’ve never made an apple galette before. I might have to try that sometime since it’s easier than making an apple pie.
