Good Morning! Sunny and 50 at 9:25 AM (which is the high for today) with temps falling this afternoon into the 40s. Strong winds are expected to develop this afternoon (NW 20 to 30 mph with possible occasional gusts near 40 mph). Anything I need to do outside today will be this morning by noon. Craig was able to change out the baking element in our oven. When he examined the old one he discovered that the flare I experienced just before Christmas blew a hole in the element. That explains why it was taking 30 minutes to heat up… Read more »

In addition, after the flare the oven was under-baking things. When I baked a chicken pot pie with the new baking element the bottom crust baked properly. With the old element and the same baking time the bottom crust was under-baked.

Wow, that was really a blow out in the heating element. Thankful Craig was able to change out the old for the new. So nice to have the oven working well again I’m sure. 😍

Good morning, So warm and mild outside, it is 61 going up to 64,so now as warm as yesterday but feels muggy outside now. It was summer like outside yesterday again, and I sure did spend time out walking and reading. I also started to put away some seasonal decor in the dining area which led me to complete a runner for the side table. Joe and Denny had a long visit yesterday, he was in his garage and when the door is open any friends welcome. I asked Denny to take the bread recipe I had printed off for… Read more »

Good morning
We stayed home yesterday. I guess I didnt do anything worth talking about. It was colder than heck all day.
It is only 2:48am my time. The winds have been gusting all night long and I dont know the speed of the wind gusts but the chimes and everything else is rattling out there. I am laying on the couch now, hoping to sleep as I am going to early church.

Good Sunday morning. Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn. Pam. A cold night not quite a frost but a wet and very windy day to come temp to 53F. A pretty wet week to come but no frosts for at least next week. The bad weather has brought back many small birds had to put out another feeder. Good to see some Gold Finches back along with the Green Finches and a few Sparrows and Blue Tit’s. Gave the old girl he Sunday run, back in the garage now so time for that coffee and bread sticks.lol. Hope you all have… Read more »

Ice, glad the worst of Goretti stayed far away from you/Glenda & you kept power; no power is awful, no matter what time of year 😔 Beryl, how nice both Marco/Nathan will be stopping by, something to look forward to 🤗 Jenn, so happy you’re enjoying the southern beaches; i’ve been there a couple times and love it. Have to admit to some serious envy 💚 Ardyth, that’s really cold for you; with any luck at all, this will be the end of Tucson’s winter 😘 Kathy, i’m so sorry Craig’s won’t just stay gone! Hope the draining is sufficient… Read more »

Hi Pam
January is the month we get rain if its El Nino…..and seems to be the coldest.
Yes it was very cold this morning. The bird water was frozen and this was the Airbnb’s car.

Woke to sun and 5 degrees this morning; the snow was sparkling in the sunlight 😎 Never thought an ice-pick would come in so handy; after poking the solid ice covering the water dishes, managed to get the block out of them — the clowder was so ready for room-temp water. 😘 Warmed up to 25 by 10a and will continue its upward trend for the next several days. Not much going on around here other than winter. Been watching Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed; it’s on every weeknight after Stephen Colbert; it really helps to keep the news from taking… Read more »
