Hi Deborah, are you in the Duluth area? I had seen you on the NH Loon cam and thought maybe you lived there. We were at the loon center last year when we were in NH. We have been to Duluth a couple times, the last time we had a difficult finding a parking spot in the lots and the meters don’t take cash.
yes I live in Duluth, those loons can sure take a lot of trauma
Yes, they do return every year to nest. Each year is a new adventure and they likely don’t react the way we would to the problems that happen. I do plan to come to Duluth for the day in August if our plans work out. We will be coming with another friend who lives south of Duluth. I wasn’t pleased with the meters either. It took time to figure out how to use them. Nice to know that you live there.
are you planning anything special while in Duluth?
I’m not sure yet. My husband and I are coming with a friend and she may have suggestions of things to do. I do want to visit the museum at the park. The last time I didn’t have time. Do you have any suggestions of things to do?
Enger Tower is another historic landmark if you haven’t seen that yet
there is also Glensheen Mansion where the movie “You’ll like my Mother” was filmed (1972) and the Great Lakes Aquarium which is there in Canal Park

Still? there’s been road construction forever, like years and then the volume of traffic its a nightmare, I know people who won’t drive in Duluth
yes, there’s road construction all over town, to get to my daughter’s house I had to take a few detours, and she only lives maybe a mile from me, but they are done in her part of the neighborhood now
Ardyth must be a nervous wreck ….knowing we are all looking for her. (I would be the same) 😉
