Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good morning…another hot one but I don’t mind, feels like summer and we had so many days of rain and storms. I’m sitting on my porch, not bad at the moment. Doing some laundry, will water flowers in a bit. Going to lunch with my cousin, haven’t done that since early July I think…she mentioned a couple breakfast /lunch cafes. Bane played in the sprinkler yesterday and I’m sure will again today.

JoAnn emailed after i fell asleep. Bob was just moved out of critical care to a regular room, a very good sign. He’s got quite a bit of pain but they just now were able to give him something for that. They only had to crack half of the sternum to get at the tumor which was the best scenario going in to it. He’s cleared a number of hurdles which, with his history, is amazing! He has to wait for the tumor test results. It’s wait and see now to see how his recovery goes. The next 24 hours… Read more »

Wow Ardy I didn’t know there was a tumor, I thought it was open heart. But what wonderful news. After that kind of surgery he is already in a regular room? That is remarkable. I guess I’ve not heard of a tumor in that position. I’m praying for the best possible scenario, and thank you for letting us know. We will all be thinking of him, JoAnn, you. Prayers and hugs.
The original plan was to take out the tumor but they discovered other things that needed to be done first and all that made it high risk.
Doctors were in there so might as well fix things that need fixing😘
I’m just glad things have gone as well as they did. I hope he gets a good prognosis.
OMG Ardyth I didn’t know it was a tumor, heart surgery I just thought was something with the heart, was the tumor on the heart or does it have to do with the lungs? Going in the chest they have to cut bones to get in side. I’m surprised the didn’t get a biopsy before the surgery? Oh I don’t know it doesn’t matter. Swift recovery for Bob😍
They found other things that had to be done before they can remove the tumor…..that was why it was complicated and hi risk
