Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Just looked at the forecast for Somerset, and it looks like it will be very cold tonight and very cold in the morning. Chance of snow 70%. They say that if it snows, it is supposed to snow early, so Debbie you should know by early morning whether you want to go or not. 😓 Maybe the sun will come out at 7:00 a.m. and clear everything up!!

Since my dad was killed in 1984 I have taken a plant to the cemetery on Dec 13. Because of Roger and Rick putting off the phone call to the Vet I am going to the cemetery early this morning (Friday) The fourth Ave street fair is always the second weekend In December. And there is always one in the spring too. The one in December is because it is so close to Christmas that people Christmas shop. Roger has given us more trouble with abscess. Rick has taken care of them but thi time the hole closed up.
Closing without draining is definitely not good. How long ago did it close up?

I’m really glad you’re able to get him in to see the vet tomorrow. I know licking the area is not good, but this is on his face so you don’t have to worry about that, I’m thinking. Is the swelling increasing? or staying about the same? I know you are so worried. Poor baby, is he able to eat?

Good afternoon…I organized my list better, and a couple other things can’t remember…DH was showing me how to make paper snowflakes..he was watching a video and had trouble himself at first…we did end up making a few, but it too awhile…his are prettier. I gave a couple to my mom for her window. It’s been pretty dark and cloudy..didn’t go out except to fill the birdfeeder and check the water for birds and the other one for cats and squirrels and other creatures. Diamond dust is a white glitter. Just makes them sparkle a little. Plain is pretty too. 🤗

My Birthday day was not the usual……First off, Rogers cheek area is more swollen and he stays in all night and sleeps so Rick finally decided to call our Vet. I’m so sorry about little Roger but so glad you got in to see the bet tomorrow. It is so hard to wait out a weekend with a sick pet. The vet will get him all fixed up. He will probably give him a shot which will work more quickly and send you home with orals.
