Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good morning…sitting on my porch…heard some rustling in the ravine earlier, it was a deer..might be more than one but couldn’t see because of all the foliage. Last night we went to the farm store and FIL’s…took home lasagna and zucchini bread that a caregiver had made. I guess some of the caregivers aren’t happy, they have less hours and there are more caregivers..one reason is that one came back..and another is still there, DH wants to keep her for now, I guess…I just stay out of it and don’t always know about the drama, lol..DH doesn’t tell me that… Read more »

Squirrels are entertaining. When i was in MN Up North at JoAnns there were 2 of them chasing each other around on a tree. I even video’s them!!

Have fun at the farmers market😍 I have squirrels run round and round the tree out front-they seem to be mating? all the boy’s are after one female and she runs away with 4 squirrels chasing her. The other day when it was raining I brought both the feeders in and cleaned them which takes a minute or two. I took him back out and while I was holding them the Hummingbird came and drank from it before I could even place it on the hook and it even did it with the second one rick was watching me but he didn’t have time to take a picture That was a first for me
