Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I slept well the few hours I always sleep Nikki’s cough seems to be getting better Roger wanted to go out so he bugged me for awhile and then he actually came and laid on the couch with me for the first time and on my chest Now he’s in the closet sleeping Never stop fighting for you but his Abscess is looking good but we’re trying to keep him in
I would reach a compromise after he is well. He gets to go out awhile in the daytime but must stay in at night. That was our compromise with Bob. But after he was apparently traumatized we kept him in altogether.
I’m glad Nikki is better, the medicine is helping.
Rick tries to sure that both of the cats are in when he goes to bed. If not they’re outside he usually wakes up and goes out and checks or when I get up I let him in and if they are both in the house when Rick goes to bed which is usually the case Roger wants to go out when I get up and I just let him go out because he does his thing and opens the door and you can’t get out of course there’s a security door on but he opens the other door ’cause… Read more »
There is always a risk but I really do believe the predators and fights are worse at night.
and if it’s daytime often you can hear the fights, at least I do…and I try to distract, I take my water bottle, yell, clap my hands, etc
I try to stop them too Lynn I throw water at them also to get them to stop, then they go some where else to fight-it never ends🙄
I haven’t seen any stray cats in the neighborhood there was an orange one but I think it went with the people that were renting around the corner But of course that doesn’t mean there aren’t any because obviously he got in a fight with one

He really is a sweet cat. Yes we have a litter box inside….they both like to poop in Ricks garden which he does not like
They shouldn’t poop in the garden the waste is toxic to plants and you, The pee is the worst
Here you go-I kept having neighbors cats use my garden as a litter box I had to fence it in to keep them out

Good morning Debbie😘 Grease that’s a big yuck for me that’s why I don’t care for bacon and Peperoni-peperoni is very greasy I don’t eat it. The pepperoni when it cooks it curls up and forms a grease pocket, like a little bowl of grease😝 a piece of meat with a teaspoon of grease on each piece. Your pizza had peppers on it? I can get heart burn from peppers. That’s has started in the last few years…
It all started with that fish sandwich. The farm store also had free popcorn. Who can pass up free?

It might of been fried in old oil-that can cause heart burn
To tell the truth I’ve been having trouble with this burning at the very beginning of the throat. I may need to see an ENT. It could be a symptom of something else.
You just saw them, did you bring this up to them?
I saw gastro and Yes. She told me the scope doesn’t see that part of the throat and to see an ENT.

Completely different. I guess eagles are like people different strokes for different folks.
It’s funny 😄. Too cold in the winter at Big Bear. Too hot most of the year in Florida. Every place is filled with pros and cons.
I live in a pretty good weather state in KY I guess. We don’t have the extremes here, not when you think of the heat/humidity of Fl., even hotter in AZ but less humidity, the cold of ND, upper MN, WI. We can get hot and cold, but the extremes are still not so bad. We do get a lot of tornadoes and sometimes flooding. We aren’t prone to earthquakes and no direct hit of a hurricane.
