Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. On this end, watched a couple of football games. Tampa Bay lost again. Baltimore Ravens won against Dallas in Rio, Brazil. Hope it was a peaceful day for all Bella’s!!!😍

Yes, after 11 years, it’s like a light bulb went off and she is learning all this stuff. She will be running things soon! 😅 I am loving it!

Yes, it is pretty amazing. I haven’t experienced this since my first dog as an adult. She was my shadow. It is a nice ffeeling. We are like besties!! I won’t correct the spelling of feeling, as every time I click on it, it wants to delete the whole word. 🤔

😅 She thinks so. Im a softie, but I can be quite firm with her. She gets that look like, oh boy, I have messed up this time, then runs to her bed. I have to turn around and laugh. She “sneaks” out rather quickly and comes over for hugs.

We walked the dogs at the cemetery and then got ice cream…DH and I got pumpkin pie flurries…it’s the only one I ever really liked…whenever I got them at other places years ago, they were too rich and kind of sickening, to me anyway..this one was just right. Not sure if I’ll watch a movie or what after I feed the dogs…

Hello…don’t think I posted yesterday…we went to the farmer’s market…bought a chai scone, zucchini fritatta, and tomatoes, just a few this time…also went to a sale, can’t remember where else…last night we went to FIL’s..I chatted with the caregiver and DH told his dad he wouldn’t be there at night…he had to leave around 4 something a.m. to go volunteer at a marathon about 1 1/2 hours away. He sent me a picture and will be home probably mid afternoon…if he’s not too tired we might go for a short dog walk and/or get ice cream, we’ll see.
sitting on my porch today, high in the 70s…oh! and I saw the moon both nights but the first night I couldn’t stop staring at it out my kitchen window…had like white around it and then a big bright yellow/gold halo, was so beautiful!
Hi Lynn you have done a lot of different things, sounds nice. Your description of the moon sounds gorgeous. No wonder you stared so long. I guess your husband had a caretaker that could take the night shift an FIL’s.
yes..he does this every year and really enjoys it, there are 2 who will do that once in awhile.
It is good he has the backup to do something he enjoys.
