Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Good afternoon Bella Buds. We left home at 5:45 CT. I had to drive because it was still dark, it is getting hard for Jo to drive in the dark. I don’t think the surgery will help that. We got to the hospital in plenty of time. Jo was having just about as much trouble walking as me, but her problem was really just lack of sleep. Staff were all very nice, did everything to help us possible. We have been freezing all morning. Everywhere we went, COLD. The worst was the pre-op room where we had to wait the… Read more »

Happy October 🎃 It’s still raining, 36 hours; thankfully, it’s the soft stuff; if it was pouring, we’d all be building arks!🚢 It should start drying up … sometime. 😄 Busy month, lots of fun little ‘holidays/celebrations’. My favorite pumpkin spice treat is ice cream. When living in AZ, I visited a farm to get some pie-pumpkins. They made their own pumpkin ice cream; it was absolutely delicious 😋 i brought some home and was very sad when it was gone; had to make the next batch myself. 😉 Store bought is NOT the same product 😔 Safe travels for… Read more »

Good morning………. Well, I just stepped in dog pee in the spare room ….with bare feet on the tile floor!!! This is the second time now Nikki has done that. In the past she has peed on rugs but never the tile. We had a great time with our friends, Jakki and Shannon, at the Red Garter eating last night. I dont know if I told you when I was in MN. I took JoAnn and Mike out to eat at the nicest restaurant in their town of 4,000 people. I ordered a rum and coke in a tall glass… Read more »

Happy October Ardyth😍🎃 the reason your sandwich was soggy is because they grilled it not long enough to toast-grill the bread. If you do go there again just ask for your Ruben to be well done😂 charging extra for your drink exspecially limes at 50 cents a slice is ridicoulous, a tall glass here just means you are ordering a double Oh My!!!

A tall glass anywhere I have been is the same amount of liquor and more pop. That is what RIck said , he should know😃

Its for a double shot here. You have to ask for a single shot in a tall glass if that’s what you want. I’m a former bartender too🍹

Good morning Ardy. Poor little Nikki. I i,amine she didn’t mean to do that. Us seasoned women all seem to have some degree of this problem. Sorry about your food last night, but I’m sure your drink and good friends helped make up for it.
