Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.
Lisa I posted Macie’s photo way below. I’m posting it up here because I’m afraid you won’t find it.
What beautiful colors, Debbie! She is so cute! I don’t remember ever seeing her before.
Well I would have shown you! Thanks Karen. We think she had a rough beginning but she has it good now.
Aw . . . I’m so glad you guys got her. She looks like she is loved. We never talked too much about Macie, mainly Casey. She is a real cutie, though. ❤️ I could fall in love with her in a heartbeat.
She Is sweet and minds for a cat. Well, she won’t always come when we call her but sometimes she does.
Neither does Dutchess. 😁 she is the queen, after all.
Her highness.

Good Evening!! 😘 I read today’s chat and enjoyed the Autumn /Halloween excitement! 😍 Speaking of sports, I am a huge sports fan. 😂 Football, baseball, learning basketball, tennis, and Olympics sports (curling, skiing, luge, bobsleigh, figure skating, tennis, gymnastics, and swimming). i don’t have enough time or channels/money to watch all of them, though. 🥰 Also, I discovered YouTube in 2023, with a whole world of wild animals to fall in love with, so now that takes some of my free time too. No wonder I don’t get anything done. 🤣😂
Karen. Finally! I was just wondering where is KAREN! And there you were. I knew you liked sports, but maybe not that much! How have you been today?
Hey there — been trying to get here. Lots of stuff to catch up with. I had to do it at a slow pace and nap so as not to relapse. I feel pretty good today. YAY! 🎊 How are you two doing?
Glad you had a pretty good day Karen. Don’t want any relapses.
How are you guys doing? How is Jo tonight?
Jo is ok. I know she is tired of this eye. But it is done and she will soon be seeing we hope.
So it’s still not right yet? I hope it is soon. One of those things that takes time, I guess.
He said she might not read for a month. I really think it will happen gradually.
Ok. I hope it is quick. 🙏
Hello Karen. We both like a mish mash of spirts. A variety!!! And, you can’t help but fall in love with the precious animals!!!!
not spirits, sports. I type to fast and don’t check before I hit my post button. So careless.
Happens to me all the time. Not to worry. 🥰
I was wondering what spirits you were drinking. 😂. I do that too Lisa. I have typos ALL the time. Im queen of typos!
Hi Lisa. 🤗 You got that right! Women of wisdom AND taste! The animals are just so adorable, even an apex predator! 😄
I’m done watching dog movies. I’ve never seen one that ended good.
Well…… I wrote that as they were about to euthanize. Then I went through 30 minutes of the worst movie H E DOUBLE L ever. But, it did have a good ending. It was a true story, they showed pictures of the real people and the dog 18 months after the movie ended.
What movie was this, Debbie? You can PM me if you want.
It was about these extreme competitor sports, sorta like Lynn’s son except they did running, climbing, bike, kayak over 5 days and were in teams of 4. I’ll try to find the movies name.
Ok, thanks. I will check it out — after you said it was actually ok.
I sent you a PM link about the movie.
Can you at least post the name of the movie?
King Authur on Netflix.
Never ever heard of it, Netflix movie
I think it was in theaters.
I know Netflix makes their own movies. I never saw it advertized
do you mean “Arthur the King” Mark Wahlberg is in it
Yes.
What happened?
The endings can be so sad.
This one did turn around.
What did you watch? Old Yeller, Where the Red Fern grows?
It is a new movie, King Authur. I watched it on Netflix.
I’m signing off for the night, so sweet dreams Bellas and see you in the morning😘
Good night Julie. Enjoy a good supper. I’m watching a movie about a team doing extreme running, Vicki g, rock climbing I don’t know what else. It involves a stray dog with a horrible existence. It is supposed to be based on a true story. Reminds me of Lynn’s son.
Another sweet, sweet little kitty. Thank you Julie. Sweet dreams 😴.
Badgers won their home coming game today😍 they smoked Michigan State
Go Badgers.
I’m home really enjoyed my walk down to the corners, stopped at Jenny street market got things I needed😍
Glad you are home safely.
