Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. New born longhorn calf just born, it seems healthy this Momma lost her calf last year due to a difficult birth so this birth was iffy, if things would go well for her and a new calf. It was discussed with a vet before letting her breed

so far so good Ruby Sue is a first time Mom. I didn’t agree with her being bred again-what happened last year was so sad, her calf last year was brought to Texas A and M vet school to try to save it and it didn’t survive. Help was there but not soon enough

yes and DH is Dear Husband, then there’s SIL which is son in law or sister in law…I’ve learned lots of the abbreviations over the years
