There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Sad call with my Mom, My uncle Chuck just passed away, he had many health problems. He died from a undiagnosed brain tumer. I feel glad that he’s not suffering but sad that I won’t see him again. He lived across the street from my Mom and Dads, and always got to see him when I would go up north. He actually was my aunts my Mom’s sisters boyfriend they weren’t married but he was uncle Chuck to me. My aunt was aunt Nancy. Chuck and Nancy familiar names here and loved💖
